caring for red coloured hair ?

bec

so, my hairs naturally brown, and i coloured it red... like a bright red... is there any tips or advice you could give me so the colour lasts longer.. also any special products that you know of thats good for red hair ?? thanksss :) xx

Answer
I used to have red hair up until a few weeks ago. All i can say is to buy the hair dye you used so whenever your roots grow out you can cover them up. Also, I'd use a shampoo made specifically for redheads, like John Frieda Radiant Red Color Captivating Daily Shampoo. If you can do that, and condition your hair daily, it will look gorgeous and be healthy.

I've wanted to dye my hair red for a while. I like this color red:

Anybody know what hair dye/product I could be to get this color? Or what is the name of this color red?

Answer
Tell me what you're starting with and I can help. It's true that if you get your hair done at a salon first that color, then just put semi permanent over the red base (like manic panic) it will last a buttload longer and red can fade as little as one or two weeks without good care. But from home, if you know anything about Sally's beauty supply you can get 2 tubes for shoulder length hair 3 for more of loreal hicolor highlightes..and if you're starting with medium brown hair or darker (make sure not black though, that wont really lift unless you just want red highlites) use 40 oreor developer for it. If your hair's lighter you may want to use 30 developer. Oh and take really good care of your hair; get color treat shampoo and conditioner, deep conditioner and if you really want the color to last grab a jar or two of manic panic and put it in your conditioner and that really helps!

Red hair care questions!!!?

Leigh

Alright so I have some question for keeping my hair red. I recently dyed my hair red and used intense medium auburnfrom loreal feria. Then I watched videos and people said that you can use manic panic in your conditioner to help keep the color when you shower so I bought infra red by manic panic. The infra re is kind of brighter then the loreal color. My question is when it's time to redye my roots should I get a color that is closer to the manic panic color?? I also want to dye my extensions so I want them to always match. Someone help. Also if I should use a different color, which is closest to infra red??

Answer
You're doing an awesome job keeping your hair red - cheers, mate.

Answering your question, when you're planning on re-dying your roots, find a color that's similar to the color you have NOW. Not previously, and not the color of the manic panic. Whatever the color is on your head, is what you want.
Either way, as you continue to use the Manic Panic in your conditioner, it will slowly always turn the current color into what it is now. You can do the same with extensions, if you plan on washing them using the same conditioner.

So, Im getting my hair dyed red tomorrow morning. Ive tried cheap brands of color safe shamoos & conditioners. Non of them seem to make the color last. I was wondering how well the Paul Mitchell Color Care shampoo & conditioner works on red hair. Any advice or experiences would be helpful. THANKYOU!

Answer
if you have red hair and it pilarbox red then no matter what you use it will still wash out, but if its a permanent then i use tresemme coulor protection in my salon and the coulor stays in for up to 6 weeks. do not use dove colour, wash and go, or anti dandruff as this contains chemicals that strip a layer of the skin off and also the coulor. Hope this helped

What makeup should i wear red hair and hazel eyes?

Q. I have hazel eyes and dyed red hair its a medium aubern color, and I really need a makeup style. All my sisters have red hair and blue eyes, so I can't really ask them for help.

Answer
Eyeliner
The most essential constituent of a makeup kit for any woman is an eyeliner or an eye pencil. The hazel eye color gives a wide range of color choices as far as the eyeliners go.

Brown color is the safest bet and also a classic option that women can opt for doing up their eyes. This is especially true for makeup for hazel eyes and red hair because red color is a soft color shade. Anything dark like black or dark gray colors will give you a dramatic eye makeup.

Although when to use liquid eyeliner and an eye pencil is different for different types of eyes e.g. close set or deep set, etc. another makeup tip is that women with hazel eyes have the freedom to use either. Only criteria is to use colors that suits the occasion, dramatic or simple.

Eyeshadow
The basic and important function of an eyeshadow is to conceal the dark circles under eyes as well as define the shape of the eyes. Since here we are concerned with makeup for hazel eyes, emphasis is on the eye only. Mauve, lighter shades of purple and brown, pearl, peach, beige or light pink colors suits the hazel eye the best. In short choose more translucent colors while going in for makeup for hazel eyes.

Light green, lilac and tones of plum can also be experimented with. These are safe colors too. The darker shades of these can be used for the night or evening time parties or get-togethers. Another tip for daytime usage is to opt for light blue or faint gray color eyeshadow. This will give you almost a no-makeup look.

Mascara
Mascara opens up your eyes by working upon the eyelashes. Though the basic criteria for choosing the right mascara depends on the eyelash type more than the color of the eyes, the criteria for selection of the color remains the same, i.e., it should suit your complexion, eye and hair color as well. So the classic black is the color to go for if you are selecting makeup for hazel eyes and black hair.

Hazel eyes tend to look little drowsy as compared to other eye colors. That is also the reason why it looks milder too. So mascara is one of the most essential cosmetics for these doe eyed beauties. Depending on the hair color again, they can try colors ranging from light brown, dark brown, black, the glossy wet look mascara too! This is the one of the biggest advantages of hazel eyes, they can experiment and use almost any kind of eye makeup. The wet look mascara is sure to look amazing on hazel eyes.

So these were the tips of makeup for hazel eyes. Go on and enjoy looking gorgeous now that you are equipped with this information. But the last makeup tip I would like to give is to stay natural and take care of the eyes.

p.s:dont wear a red blush with red hair! instead use a pale pink blush and either a light pink or nude lip color
