I was watching a show where Kevin from U Kiss seemed sad because they hadn't made it big on the American music charts like Wonder Girls. Then I think he said it was everyone groups dream to hit the American charts.

Answer
Okay, be prepared for a VERY LONG essay, but I think I pretty much covered why Kpop can't make it into America anytime soon.

Honestly as much as I would love for Kpop to make it big, I don't think it will, at least anytime soon. Yeah, the Wonder Girls had more success than the other Korean artists who tried to debut in America, but they barely made a dent in the music industry. I haven't heard them at all on the radio and if I ask any one from my school if they know who they are, no one would know.

In order for any Kpop artist to become successful in America, a Korean-American or Asian-American artist must first break Americaâs negative POV of Asians in hip-hop/pop/r&b. Thatâs a massive hurdle for Asian-Americans, so why would America accept an Asian artist who doesnât know the culture nor the language (fluently)?

Average Americans (who represent mainstream buyers) are not going to rationalize to themselves, "Oh, the beat sounds good, the MV is kinda cool, and so-and-so has a nice voice, even if his/her pronunciation is poor, its okay â¦Iâll still fork over $15 for the CD," when they can get exactly the same if not better from the current lineup of American artists⦠yes, Iâm saying Kpop is hugely derivative of American music (we all know this), and it jumps the bandwagon late and overdoes itâ¦look at the prevalence of autotune; the backdrops and light effects of MVs, and come onâ¦composing beats/music based on 90âs electronica; Iâm looking at you, Teddy Park and your late-night infomercial TV collection of electronica / house CDsâ¦i.e. âNOW this is house musicâ or whatever the series is called.

Most people, especially Americans respond instantaneously to pop culture; itâs the âclick-whirrrâ response. Theyâre not used to seeing Asian faces in the music industry, and to them itâs awkward to see an Asian face performing pop/r&b/hip-hop (including the use of urban African-American English) but with accents. To them, thatâs laughable.

In Wonder Girlâs case, their music could be qualified as OK and standard relative to American pop â but theyâre still faced with a cultural stigma of being Asian in America.

Also, the wall between American music and ANY other style, not just Kpop, is HIGH and STRONG.

And, to be honest, Americans donât care exactly how much you trained. I donât even think many mainstream artists ever really trained before debuting. Itâs about who you know, where you appear, how often your song plays on the radio, whereas thereâs Music Bank, Inkigayo, Music Core, and many variety shows for idols in Korea. Promotion in America is hard and really, really expensive. But I think once youâre extremely famous (take Bieber, for example) itâs hard to lose fame.

Korean artists are more visual, with unique concepts, bright colors, funky hairstyles, catchy choreography. Every stage has a different outfit and every album has a different look. Americans are more casual, unless youâre at the red carpet. Itâs more uniform and everything is similar (excluding Britney/Madonna/Gaga/etc). Even dying your hair can make headlines on people magazine.

Also, Kpop is POP music. I have to admit, Americans love their r&b, rap, and rock. Pop is not very popular, and itâs usually associated with Disney.

No offense, but Kpop artists should stay in Korea and focus on making great music (and not imitating the latest trend in America. Cause then thatâs self-defeating in the vain hope of breaking into America if all theyâre going to offer is recycled music). Additionally, the K-music industry has to change. Theyâve got to lessen the manufacturing of Kpop idols compromising talent for looks above all else â and instead need to seek and nurture true, irrefutable God-given talent. And on the production side, Iâd like to see producers who strive to experiment and develop Korean music, rather than eavesdropping on what America is doing then scrambling to imitate those trends for Korea.

What is a good party theme for a lock-in for 6th 7th and 8th graders?

Seth Is Uh

We are thinking of an 80s theme but a lot of people dont like that

Answer
What is a lock in?

Here are some possible themes for parties/socials/dances

- Rock and roll- like Grease
- Black and white formal dress
- Hip hop -have a dance battle like Step Up 2
- Disco- with the big hair, flares, platforms, disco balls
- Hawaiian- have tiki torches, hula skirts, palm trees, haiwaiian pizza, frangipanis
- Certain colour e.g. everyone wears blue, eats blue food
- Red Carpet Event-have a red carpet, photographers, formal dress, academy awards for best dressed, best dancer, best smile etc.
-Fairytale- Girls probably prefer this, but guys can dress as princes and girls can dress up as their favourite fairytale princess. To get girls excited about this instead of thinking 'oh thats for kids' have Love Story by Taylor Swift going on.
-Masquerade- every must wear a mask, ask a random masked person to a dance, formal dress. This can be tied in with the fairytale theme.

Let me know how it goes!

Good luck

What products are there that can make my hair thicker and more voluminous?

I have really fine hair, quite wispy and I want to make it look less flat and boring.

any suggestions?

Answer
STEP 1:Towel dry your hair then mist a leave-in conditioner on your ends followed by a volumizer all over. Flip your head over and start blow-drying your roots while pulling them away from your scalp with your fingers, then dry the rest of your hair until it's slightly damp.

STEP 2: Bring your hair upright and wrap 1-inch sections in Velcro rollers. Once all your hair is set, blow-dry with a diffuser for 10 minutes on the hot setting, then 10 minutes on cool. Alternative options: Use large hot rollers or a curling iron but first make sure hair is 100 percent dry.

STEP 3: Remove the rollers, then mix a drop each of shine serum and light gel (the perfect combo for hold and shine) between your fingers, then run hands throughout your hair.

STEP 4: For an extra body boost, gently tease your roots around the crown of your head, Finish by finger-tousling your hair into a cascade of loose come-hither curls, and give your locks a light spritz with hair spray.

STEP 5: Major mane booster: chopsticks have a hidden use: They can give your hair loads of volume. Right after blow-drying, while your hair is still warm, twist it into a bun and slip the sticks through, says NYC salon owner Ted Gibson. Remove the sticks when your tresses have cooled and voilà â beautiful body

here are some good products
1. Overall Best Shampoo for Fine Hair: Kerastase Volumactive
By far the best shampoo on the market, Kerastase is consistently rated by the pros and can be found in the top salons in the country. I have fine hair and Kerastase's Volumactive is the shampoo I have in my bathroom. I buy the biggest jug I can find and it lasts me more than a year. It's a pricey shampoo, but worth it. It leaves no residue, smells amazing and keeps my fine hair from falling flat. $28 on up.

2. Best Inexpensive Shampoo for Fine Hair: Garnier Fructis Body & Volume
A great alternative to fancy volume shampoos is Garnier Fructis. Try the shampoo and the conditioner. Another great inexpensive shampoo is Pantene Sheer Volume. Where to buy: Your local drugstore.

Quick tip for extra body:
If hair is flat and greasy, add instant lift with baby powder at the roots and crown. When you apply, avoid the hairline and the part, massage in and watch your greasiness disappear.

3. InStyle's Favorite Shampoo for Fine Hair: Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage
InStyle Magazine named Paul Mitchell's Teas Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo as their top pick in the 2009 issue. Priced well at about $11, this shampoo adds volume at the roots.
4. Danilo's Favorite Shampoo for Fine Hair: Phyto Volume Shampoo
Elle Magazine dubbed Danilo - the guy who gives Gwen Stefani big hair - "The Body Builder." A celeb stylist for the past 15 years, Danilo is known for creating voluminous red carpet hair. According to Danilo (in Elle), up to 40% of hair's total volume can be achieved in the shower and Phyto is his shampoo choice. For best results pair a volume shampoo with a volume conditioner. Danilo says they build on top of each other.

5. Best Root Booster: Rene Furterer Klorane Dry Shampoo
Molly Sims said in Marie Claire magazine that she loves this dry shampoo for building body and disguising dark roots. Dry shampoos (a cheaper version is baby powder) are great for building body.

6. Best Mousse for Fine Hair: Pantene Pro-V Volumizing Mousse
This inexpensive mousse works great to add volume to fine hair. Apply a tennis-ball sized amount to roots and comb through with a wide-tooth comb. The volumizer is activated by the heat from your blowdryer.

7. Great Volumizing Spray: Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray
This is our all-time favorite volumizer. "It makes fine hair look like Texas hair," Rodger Azadganian, owner of Seattle's Seven salon, said in InStyle magazine. Spray on damp hair for instant fullness.

8. Inexpensive Mousse: VO5 Whipped! Volume Mousse
Can't afford a fancy mousse? No problem. This mousse ($3.69) will create volume once the heat from the blowdryer hits the product.

9. Great Mid-Line Mousse for Fine Hair: Matrix Root-Lifter
Celebrity hairstylist Steven Ward swears by this root-lifter for full-bodied Brigitte Bardot volume. With this mousse, your hair won't feel stiff or crunchy. Plus, at under $15 we love the price.

10. Pricey-but-Worth It Mousse: Kerastase Volumactive MousseMousse works much like spray. You want to add to roots and work it through the rest of hair.

11. Best Volumizer Hairspray: Big Sexy Hair Flip it Over
Once you've applied styling mousse and blow-dried hair, section hair and mist with an aerosol hairspray like this great one. This spray creates height & stands up to humidity.

12. The Hairstylist's Favorite Volumizer: Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spray
When you have flat hair, you want to give hair volume at the sides, not at the top, according to Allure beauty editor, Jolene Edgar, who makes the good point that volume at top will make you look like a beauty queen (oops!). Edgar suggests this Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spra, which should be sprayed at the roots while hair is damp. If you lay off the blowdryer and let hair airdry, you'll notice your hair has much more volume than it does when dried straight. Scrunch hair with your hands as hair dries for added volume.

Q. My husband and I are planning on having kids in about a year or so, but like most future parents, I'm curious what they will look like. As of now, my husband has a brownish-auburn color of hair, and my hair is light brown. His father has red hair, and me and my cousin were born with strawberry blond hair. What's the chance of our kids having red hair? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind having cute little red heads. I just want to know if it's likely we'll have red heads.

Mommy sinc

My dad has black hair with like a strawberry blonde (now w/gray lol) beard.
I have strawberry blonde hair. a little more red.
That is it with the red in the family.
My b/f has black hair, dark brown eyes.
Me, strawberry blonde hair, greenish bluish gray eyes.
more green.
What are my chances my kid will have red hair.

Answer
This is a great question for a biology teacher. First of all, does your bf have red hair on his side of the family? My parents both have dark brown hair and I have red hair. My father has a great aunt with red hair, and my other had a grandmother with red hair. My parents both had a big B (dominant trait for brown hair), and a little r (recessive for red hair). In their case there was a 1 in 4 chance of having a red head child with each child they had. Since I have red hair that means I have two little r's. I married a guy with dark brown hair (but has some red in his beard) and we have three kids. None of those kids has red hair, even though they have strong red highlights. I do not believe my husband has the recessive gene for red hair. We do not know of any red heads in his family. If you have the recessive for red hair and he does not then you wont have any kids with red hair. They will be like mine, red tint. But they will have the recessive gene from you, and if they married a person with the gene then they could have kids with red hair. However, even if your bf has the recessive gene, that doesn't guarantee you will have a red headed baby. It's a 25% chance with each child you have.

Is red hair really a sign of persistent starvation?

red hair kids
 on Heather... just being.: Gingers....
red hair kids image

Magic * Me

I heard someone say it is. Like, if a people's been starved through generations or something their kids begin to have red hair and something. That true?

Answer
Not at all lol.

Red hair appears in people with two copies of a recessive gene on chromosome 16 which causes a mutation in the MC1R protein.
Red hair can originate from several changes on the MC1R-gene. If one of these changes is present on both chromosomes then the respective individual is likely to have red hair. This type of inheritance is described as an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance. Even if both parents do not have red hair themselves, both can be carriers for the gene and have a redheaded child.

In rare cases red hair can be associated with a disease or genetic disorder.

In cases of severe malnutrition, normally dark human hair may turn red or blonde. The condition, part of a syndrome known as kwashiorkor, is a sign of critical starvation caused chiefly by protein deficiency, (melanin found in protein is what genetically determines hair color, so a deficiency in protein would lead to a loss of eumelanin, which is an amino acid responsible for making hair and skin darker) and is common during periods of famine. (This is probably what you are referring to. this does Not happen genetically or change a persons genetics. It is the direct result of loss of protein due to starvation. It would not be carried on through generations.)
One variety of albinism (Type 3, aka rufous albinism), sometimes seen in Africans and inhabitants of New Guinea, results in red hair and red-colored skin.
Red hair is found on people lacking pro-opiomelanocortin.

What is the probability that my kids will have red hair?

confeushun

My husband and i both have light brown hair, and my parents are brunettes as well. but my husband's mom has red hair and his dad has brown hair. Is there a chance my kids will be red headed?

Answer
the gene for red hair is recessive, but it IS possible that any child you have could have red hair, though the chance is slight

I want to dye my hair red but i don't know which one to choose, like auburn, deep red-violet, orange-ish red (like Donna from That 70's Show) Which red hair color looks best? My skin looks different in different lights. For example if I was on white light my skin looks pale white and on sunlight my skin looks like its medium fair skin w/ yellow undertones.

Answer
Try a deep, rich burgundy color. That would look really cute on you. Or, try the hairstyle like Donna, like you said, which is a bit lighter. Just stay away from anything too bright orange or carrot-y.

What hair color would go with someone who has yellow undertones?

Q. I have a a pale yellow undertone skin tone if that makes any since. School is about to start in a couple of days and i was wondering what hair color would go with it.

junjou rom

Answer
It's not hard to just buy the stuff. here's a list of stuff you need.

1.red-black striped shirt and stockings.
2.brown/black boots
3.puffy black dress/skirt. (if it's a dress, make sure it's sleeveless)
4. if the dress/skirt doesn't have white lace/etc under it, get a white frilly skirt (apron might work?)
5.detachable collar
6.white scarf
7.hair band hat
8.black pancho or shawl
9.extras for detail. (blonde wig; hair clips; frills for sleeves; black vest)

What would best the best haircut for me?

Right now I have long red hair (about to my waist.) It's wavy-ish and medium in thickness. I have a round face pale skin. I need a haircut soon so I just wanted some input as to what to do with my hair. Any ideas welcome as a lot of styles don't look right because my face is so round. Nothing shorter than shoulder length, please. Also, nothing that is hard to manage, style, or takes a lot of time working with. Thanks!

Answer
Since your face is really round, you don't want anything that is to straight and looks flat to your head. You want something that covers a little bit of your face, yet not too short. Maybe a hairstyle slightly past your shoulders with really loose, big, full curls will help. Almost like a Rihanna hairstyle when hers was red on the video "only girl in the world" , but not as bright of the color red or not as long. And a nice side bang in the front will also look good, so your face wouldn't look so round. You wouldn't have to put much heat in your hair to try and straighten it. Just some soft hair rollers to put in your hair before bed will be fine.

Hope this helps and hopefully it will create a gorgeous look for you, because it's a very nice hairsyle. :)

What is a cute hairstyle that looks good with an oval face?

Q. i have red hair and its really long bellow my chest. its lid a little bit above my belly button. and i have an oval/heart face. and i have pale skin, but i doubt that matters. i don't know how to get my hair cut. and i need a style that would be easy to do every morning.

Answer
Here is one I think is really pretty:

How can I darken my red hair without losing the natural highlights?

red hair color hues image
Q. I have red hair, but I'm out in the sun a lot and it's streaked with both blonde, and a little gray these days. I would like to darken it up a little, because the color looks a little washed out and has no depth, but I don't want that single toned look of coloring, and I don't want to cover all the highlights. Is there a good wash or technique for adding a little depth to the color? My hair has never been colored before, and is in good condition.

Answer
Your best bet is to try a color depositing shampoo. It revs up the natural tones in your hair and kicks up the hue without drastically changing the color. Your second best bet would be a color glaze, which does basically the same thing, though the color glaze is not used like a shampoo but like a conditioner.

John Frieda has both of these products for red hair.

If you actually want to dye the hair, one thing you have to remember is to make sure that the package has "semi" or "demi" permanent on the box and absolutely make sure it says "ammonia free". With natural red hair you do NOT want ammonia, it will end up orange. If you are going to dye it, pick a shade that is no more than 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural color. This is especially important since you are trying to preserve the natural highlites. You mentioned you have some gray, so keep in mind that grays are more stubborn to color than pigmented hues. They may turn out lighter than the rest of your hair.

Many other brands have color glazes and color depositing shampoos but John Frieda is a popular one. L'Oreal and Garnier are also good, and both offer "box dye".

what is the best hair colour for pale skin with a yellow hue?

Well i have pale skin with a yellow hue to it, my eyes are a light shade of blue, my hair colour is currently light brown, but i am hoping for a change, i like the looks of an almost white colour or plum or bright red, but i don't know what would look better, i hope this is enough information and any help would be nice and greatly appreciated thanks!

Answer

But I am scared because I love my hair color and don't want to ruin it if I do dye it. I am looking for a non permanent hair dye, because I want to try the color black, but I don't want it to ruin my original hair color. Any suggestions?

How can I make my own non-permanent hair colors?

Dee Dee

I know I can buy those non-permanent hair colors in the stores, but I want to make my own.

I would like to make red, purple, pink, and blue to put some streaks to my hair.

So how do I make my own hair colors? What ingredients do I need to buy and what ingredients should be in the colors?
What kind of color products should I get that I can use to put some streaks to my hair?
Since I have a natural black hair, cool aid won't work.

Answer
we used to use kool aid when we were kids, but it didn't last very long, and only if you have lighter hair. I wouldn't screw around with making your own. In all likelihood you wouldn't get it right and seriously damage your hair... or it would be a weird color.

Going from dry bleach blonde to darker coppery red and mahogany brown?

Katie

I have been bleaching my hair for about a year now. It is at the point where it is dry and very brittle and i am honestly tired of being blonde. I have been thinking about doing a deep coppery red w mahogany brown undeneath and maybe some blonde sections or highlights. I havent had that much experience going dark since ive only been lifting to blonde. I bought a conditioning masque for my hair and i was going to pick up a leave in treatment as well. How long should i use the conditioning treatment before dying or is it safe to dye now and then keep conditioning? Any suggestions on treatment? And what might i need to make sure i get the color i want?

Answer
Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that the ombre style.

I am going to Wizard World Chicago, and I want to know some good cosplay ideas.

Answer
I watch a lot of anime in my free time and last year i went to a cosplay party, no parade but i had fun there. I dressed up as Moka Akashiya from rosario. She was my favorite character from the anime, but i also wanted to dress as Mizore Shirayuki, with a lollipop in my mouth and i dyed my hair blue before, and i look good in it so i wanted to wear a blue/purple wig... but i went with pink because i never tried it before. You can choose from the inner moka, (thats the grey hair) or the pink haired moka. I would also recommend Komura Yuuichi from Hiiro no Kakera. Iv'e seen some picutures of people dressed as komura. Its really nice :D btw i think yuuicki is a guy... but i saw a girl cosplayed as yuuichi so i guess its fine. my other suggestion is shana from Shakugan no Shana. It was one of my favorite anime too :) with a sword, the alastor necklace and flaming red hair. You'll look good! Especially if u match the color red. This costume is the one i tried in real, and i loved it! its Akiyama Mio from "k-on!" i love her, and i like her dress too. she has a cute "gothic" look actually. or something like lolita style. idk how to spell it haha. i also love Kirakishou from Rozen maiden Traumend. go for her if u match white. btw, u should really watch rozen maiden if u haven't! If u like blue, like me u can also choose hastune Miku. shes so cute! btw shes from vocaloid and i love her songs. go for Megurine luka if u like pink. shes from vocaloid too. if u want green, u can go for c.c. from code geass, (all i can say for that anime is i really didnt get the anime, i was really lazy to watch the 1st episode because it was boring) but shes pretty tho. btw shes perfect if u like light jumpsuit-like costumes like hers, another one is Kanaria from Rozen Maiden (i havent really seen her around in some episodes so i dont really know how she dress like haha and i really love this anime called Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. i havent watched the whole thing tho but pant and stocking anarchy is both pretty. panty anarchy has yellow hair i think.. short or long its really up to u and stocking has blue hair.. or sometimes pink or purple on the inner side. it varies. :) im trying to get different colors, (all if i could) heres orange; Rima Touya from Vampire Knight. I finished the whole series of vampire night and its pretty good. idk if rima has red or orange but i guess u can wear both colors for the wig :b another anime is mikuru. sorry i forgot what anime shes from feel free to search shes cute and has an innocent character i guess. i dont really know a lot of orange hair animes for girls.. although i know more guys that have orange hair than girls.. pretty weird lol.. hope this helped! :)

Does Sekihan (the vocaloid) have red or black hair? What about Piko?

Black Icin

I see videos and pictures of him with either, and it's really confusing D: What am I missing?

Also, Piko's hair varies from black to white.

Is there a story I don't know about or something?? *cries*

Answer
Sekihan has a brownish red hair. Piko has white hair.
Some people just like to change this up.
The person who provides Piko's voice though has black hair, I think that's where the confusion comes from. Oh, and I'm also sure the same thing applies for Sekihan.

There are a lot of posers and the real deal but I can't tell the difference. Can you tell me how to tell the difference?

Answer
A kid, who copies a kid, who copied more kids, who copied a group of kids, that were scene. Someone who goes on urban dictionary and google and myspace to copy what the real scene kids do, but they over do it. Someone who sits for hours trying to come up with a "random" saying to use as a respond to people. They decide that scene, although they are TRYING to be scene, is who they "really are", even though thats not who they were yesterday. The kids who dye their hair pink, and say its red, the ones who have fake lip piercings, the ones who get freakishly obsessed with guys with long hair, usually named Ryan or Taylor. The ones who run around music festivals and say their name is Zara, as opposed to Sara, and scream, "power to the Chucks!" to anyone who is wearing them, even though half of the kids there are wearing them, as if theyre creative for owning a pair of chuck taylors, even though those shoes have been made since fucking 1905 or something? They usually get their lip pierced out of nowhere, and if theyre the ULTIMATE scene poser, they get a fake lip ring, and then bitch about how their parents wont actually let them pierce it. So the poser will also enlist in some sort of art or poetry class and have this immediate interest in being an artist or a poet and shoving their suicidal pictures and words in your face because no one cares and everyone knows they aren't artistic in any form and probably don't even HAVE the left side of their brain anyway, because it dissolved when the sprayed all that damn ass cheap hair spray on their heads to look cool, even though the girls who usually do that have thin blonde hair so the hairspray just makes them look all crusty.
Example 1-
Scene Poser:"Im so sad that I haven't eaten in the last three days!"
Mary:"Becky, we saw you eat a sandwich yesterday."
Scene Poser:"Oh yeah huh?*breaks out in maniacal laughter*"But Im still depressed..."
Example 2-
Mary:"Becky, is that lip ring fake?"
SP:"Yeth! My parents are so stupid they wont let me pierce it!"
Example 3:
SP:"Nikki, Im wearing TWO different kinda of converse! Isnt that GREAT?!?!?!"
Nikki:"Shut up Becky."
Example 4:
SP:Austin Im sad...
Austin:"No you arent."
SP:"You know what Austin, go eat a sandwich."
Austin:"YOU go eat a sandwich."
SP: "Youre a funny man Austin, funny funny funny..."
Austin:"And your name is Becky."

When you type your name in urban dictionary and search?

ginger

A human, characterized by pale skin, freckles and bright red hair. "Gingers" are generally considered to be inferior to their more melanin-rich brethren, and thus deservingly discriminated against. Gingers are thought to have no souls. The condition, "gingervitis" is genetic and incurable.
Ron Howard is a ginger.

Answer
Both are really beautiful. I'd go with the ombre. If you don't like it's easier to get rid of it and still have healthy hair.

What hair cut and color would fit me?

Tina

So I am looking to do something different with my hair. I have fair skin and naturally dirty blonde hair. My hair is very thick and long. I have a oval shaped face and a long nose. I also have blue eyes.

So in your opinion what hair colors and cuts would fit me the most?

Answer
This is some of the styles I think would look good in my opinion, they may sound a little crazy:

1 - Black hair and blue eyes. This is very different from your original hair color, so feel free to throw this idea away immediately. You can't get your original color back once you dye it black, but it does look very beautiful and makes your eyes and facial features stand out.

Examples:
http://blackhairblueeyes.tumblr.com/post/51744093461/kaya-scodelario
http://oh-joshua.tumblr.com/post/54644383772
http://blackhairblueeyes.tumblr.com/post/46318785190

2 - Ombre hair. This is way less daring. I got this done myself and I must say I love it. I originally had honey blonde hair so I went to a salon and they lightened the bottom half of my hair. It is now two different shades of blonde, one darker and one lighter, but it looks natural, as if I'm sun kissed from spending a lot of time at the beach. I have green eyes. I think ombre would look fantastic on almost anybody, though. I really like it. I think ombre hair looks the best if you have curly or slightly wavy hair. Its okay on straight hair, too. If you're not sure you want to go all the way ombre, you could get a subtle ombre where it looks natural.

Examples:
http://data3.whicdn.com/images/32077990/ombre-hair-tumblr-6611_large.jpg
http://ombreappreciation.tumblr.com/post/59960114156/diy-ombre-on-azn
http://ombreappreciation.tumblr.com/post/36318621064
Search "Zoe Sugg"

3 - Auburn/Dark Red. I'm absolutely in love with red hair. Its even cuter if you have freckles. Red is a pretty bold, vibrant color that will always make you stand out - so be ready for that. Its also drop dead gorgeous!

Examples:
Google "maroon hair" or "Karen Gillan"

- - -

As for how you get it cut, I would not recommend bangs. They are always in your face and soon you will probably want to grow them out. Also, since the bangs are on your forehead, that means the hair oils are, too, and its much easier to get acne.

If you decide to get ombre, you should try getting layers with it! That's what I did (I went to a salon) and months later, I still love it. Be careful where you go though, as some hairstylists might not be as skilled as others. Ombre is permanent, and your hair will be more dry after lightening it; you'll need to use conditioners. It may be worth it, though, if that's what you're looking for.

Good luck

Just a small question, are girls with natural red hair viewed as attractive or unique in japan? Or would I get teased for it? I know most japanese people have black hair and I'd probably stick out a lot if I went there and is it true if you have a strange color hair in japanese high school you have to dye it black?

At least, it's not seen as attractive.

Basically, it's very, very rare for foreign kids to attend Japanese high schools. So there is no example of that kind.

Is it possible that half asians can get red hair?

So I'm biracial, and I have tan skin. Not like red tan, but yellow tan. My natural hair colour is a dark brown, what would probably look the best on a skin tone like mine?

Answer
I am bi racial also. vietnamese, french, and german. so I also have that golden yellow tan. you can never go wrong with dark brown or black a dark cherry red which is a dark color but in the light looks dark red also looks really pretty. bright colors do look good as a contrast to tan skin, make sure to get them as highlights only. if you do decide to get bright colored highlights, keep the base of your hair a dark brown or black

What hair color would look best with my skin tone?

Munchkin's

I have naturally ash brown hair, right now, medium ash brown, light blue eyes, and very fair skin with light brown freckles and high cheekbones. I want to dye my hair for a change, and Ive had red b4 and ppl always assumed it was my natural color as most natural redheads are pale, but should I dye it red again? Or blonde? Or darker brown? What hair colors look best with pale skin that has pink and blue undertones and even slightly yellow undertones (but more pink and blue) (and light blue eyes to go with it)? I heard blonde hair can make you look tanner, then I hear it can maek you look paler. I also heard dark hair can make you look paler, if youre already pale. And I heard red hair looks better with tanner skintones, but if thats the case why are most natural redheads pale? So what hair color would look best or prettiest with my skintone?

Answer
Going too dark may give you a goth-like appearance. It may look exotic and intriguing, but only if you have the personality to match it. Going with blonde (or red again) is a safer bet because it will look more natural against your fair complexion. You are right that dark hair could make you look paler, and you would probably want to avoid an "anemic" appearance.

Felicia

I'm moving to New York to be an actress and I'm wondering if I need to either change my name or have a stage name. My name is Felicia Daniels. Is it catchy enough or memorable?

I've come up with two names that I've thought about changing it to: Juli Reynolds or Derrie Shaw. Which one do you like better or do you like my actual name better? If it helps, I'm about 5'1, red hair, fair skin, green eyes and I'm from the country so I'm very athletic and laid back.

Answer
derrie shaw is better

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

blondie

I had to get my hair cut to my shoulders because it was very damaged and I hate it this short. My hair grows slow.

Answer
Oils

Many cultures around the world use plant oils as hair treatments for thicker, longer hair. This tradition is especially common in South Asia and the Mediterranean, where people use coconut, olive and mustard oil in their hair to make it grow longer, faster and thicker. The most commonly used of the three is olive oil, which helps make your hair healthier and silkier, prevents hair loss, strengthens hair and heals the scalp. It also helps get rid of dandruff and lice. Olive oil is an ideal hair conditioner, making hair softer and more pliable.

To use olive oil to make your hair grow longer, apply it to your hair by separating the strands to reach the entire scalp. Work it into your hair, and it massage into your scalp by making circular motions with your fingers. Scrub your scalp for five minutes. Also work the oil into the hair tips to help prevent dry hair and split ends. Rinse your hair, shampoo and then use conditioner. Repeat this process several times a week to see dramatic results.
Eggs and Yogurt

Eggs and yogurt combine to make an organic hair treatment to make hair grow faster and stronger. Beat the eggs, then mix in the yogurt. Work the mixture into your hair, and let it sit for half an hour. Keep in mind that the mixture will make your hair smell unpleasant for a while even after washing. Shampoo twice to ensure you have fully removed the egg mixture, and condition as usual. The eggs contain proteins, which help strengthen hair, and the yogurt contains biological enzymes, which help make the scalp cleaner and healthier.
Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise can also make hair healthier, softer and shinier while helping it grow more quickly. Work mayonnaise into your hair as you would conditioner. Leave it in for 30 to 60 minutes, then rinse it out. Shampoo your hair until you have removed the mixture, then condition as usual. Oils in the mayonnaise make the hair softer, and the proteins make it stronger, allowing it to grow long and healthy.
Food For Hair Growth

Aside from hair treatments that help hair grow long and fast, other ingredients found around the house help hair grow healthy and long when added to your diet. Brian Thompson, trichologist and director of product development at Philip Kingsley Trichological Center in New York and London, prescribes a regimen of protein, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals for optimum hair growth. He recommends eating red meat or egg whites twice a week for protein, brown rice for complex carbohydrates, and bacon and salmon for vitamins B12, zinc and protein.

How can I go from blond to brunette and find the right shade of brunette for me?

I am naturally brunette but every time I try to go back to that color I look washed out or my hair looks dull and dead. What is going on?
Did it once w/ a red filler and then a semi perm brunette - it ended up looking VERY red. And it faded fast. Any way to avoid that? Thanks for the advice :)

Answer
Going from blonde to brunette can be tricky. If your not using the right shade or product it will look dull. It can also look very ashy and lifeless. The best to do is use a filler first. It will have to have a red or orange base. Then you would put the color on over it once you washed it out. A filler would be a semi-permanant color. When going from blonde to brown you have to use a filler from keeping it from fading and turning funky colors. I would really suggest going into a salon to get it done and make sure they use a filler. Than after that once you do it yourself it shall be a more desired result. You could use a perm. Neutral color over it ( the toner). If you have bleach or a high volume blonde than it might take 2 or 3 times for it to finally hold. I went from platinum to a level 5 brown. It took about 3 times to finally hold. After you color it you can use a at home color refresher. It will keep your color lasting longer and fresher looking in between colors.

What's Something I can do to change my look for New Years?

TALZ

I've been wanting to dye my hair or get a piercing but I'm not sure.
For my hair I was thinking maybe I should dye it black(Its brown) but I like my hair color so I'm not sure if I should change it fully. But I was also thinking highlights but my mom says my hair already is naturally highlighted.
I was also thinking a nose ring or getting my ears pierced? But I'm such a chicken!!!
I really want to change something?!?!?! What should I do???
Btw I'm 15 so something age appropriate. Thanks.

Answer
At 15? Piercings arent the best thing in the world. Forget that! Piercings can get infected and thats also not good for jobs. My hair has always been brown and natural highlighted like yours, but I dyed it anyway. And Im glad I did, I got endless compliments, some even said I looked like a new person. maybe get a new ear piercing? Like the ones on top of your earlobe. If not, try a new makeup! Thats always a refresher! A new look, and you will feel completely different even though you maybe didnt change much but you mascara color, eye makeup, blush, or even lipstick! Ever tried Hard candy mascara? They have super cute colors, hot pink, blue, purple, even glitter mascara! Try a silver, purple, or blue eye makeup. Hey, if its new years, go for a new wardrobe style! Ir maybe color eyeliner? Never hurts to try a bold Hair color! Red, blonde, black, do what you think is right! Maybe if you dont want to dye it, get a new haircut! Layers are super cute, and guys seem to love them. When I got this layred look, with a redish-brown and blonde color, everyone went nuts for it. Even guys I hardly talked to complimented me and told me how great it looked. Or maybe just dip-dye your hair? That wouldnt be too much of a change! Hope this helped! :)
