color enhancing shampoo?

MrB

How well do these work as stand along products? Which is best?

Answer
when i died my hair red, i used pantene pro v radiant red shampoo, conditioner, and friz creme. i think it worked well making the red shinier and more vibrant. now that i am a brunette again, i use the brilliant brunette (also pantene pro v) and like it as well. i think that it works, it is a good cleanser, and all of the products are a brown shade, so if they do cause residue (which they prob do) it is the shade of your hair, or lighter.

What drugstore shampoo & conditioner works the best for colored hair?

Juliann

I am getting my hair died & it costs a lot of money (250$) & i don't feel like spending a bunch of money on shampoo & conditioner too. But i want one that will keep my color in because i don't want that much money to just go down the drain. Please tell me what the best drugstore shampoo & conditioner is that i get get for around 10$ or less each, i don't want to spend more than 20$ all together. thank you :)

Answer
try john frieda shampoo and conditioner. They have shampoo that enhances the color of your hair, wel the color you dyed it. They have a shampoo for blonde, brunette and red hair.

I also heard using purple shampoo enhances your hair if its being dyed blonde.

Tresemme color shield (i think) is good too !

How To Keep Red Hair Vibrant?

punkrock10

My hair is auburn and sometimes it loses its vibrancy. Its usually a beautiful colour, and I'm trying to keep it like that... any tips on enhancing my red tones?

Answer
Use shampoo meant to enhance red hair color. You can also use a toner when it starts to look a little dingy. But if its natural read just try using dish soap once or twice a month to remove product build up.

Best color deposting/enhancing shamp/cond for red hair?

Nikke

I have color hair that is bright red and I love it...for about 8 days....then it tends to fade and I have to color it again after 3 weeks. Is there a salon brand that you would recommend that is color depositing or enhancing. I see that John Frieda has a line...but I would really rather use a salon brand.

I am using WEN and Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner on alternating days. But I would like to change to one that is for redheads.

Suggestions preferably from salon professionals, but all answers welcome

Answer
red has less pigments in it than all colors so its the color that fades the fastest. have shampoos and cond. for red, like john frieda has. I tried a lot of non salon red, and yes, they don't last very long, but that is the only good advice i can give u, other than that, maybe call up your salon.
