So right now my hair is a level 4 mix of Ion 4N and Ion 4IR but I am seriously in love with this color from loreal Paris. I need tips on how to achieve this color. Do you think I could just use this color with a 30 or 40 developer? The box says this color is also a level 4

Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. i want to dye my hair blonde/and lavender....but i dont know how to get it to those exact colors when my hair is brownish-red/dark brown...and i dont want to use the permanent dyes with peroxide.
could i use a rinse or semi-permanent hair color and apply it everyday until it reaches those colors?

Well if your hair is deep red/brown you may have to have it stripped (if you have used hair dyes before) You could try using the semi's or rinse's as i have recomended a few of these to friends of mine and their hair looks really good. But it might take you a while to get it to the colour you want as they are very weak. Why not pop into your hairdressers and ask them about getting the colour you want without harsh chemicals, all hairdressing dyes are different and some semi's at the salon can be very cheap and give a great colour. Also you could try on a few wigs to see if you suit it, and if your brave enough just go and get it done permanent. Remember is easier to dye blonde hair back to brown.
