i little bit lighter brown with some a color just darker than caramel highlights. something like this...

I had bleached blonde hair & decided I wanted the color of the 1st pic. but I didn't leave it on long enough so it turned out like the 2nd pic. so I need suggestions to achieve the right color. Should I use the same one or better suggestions for other brands of colors. I used Garnier Nutrisse sweet pepper (intense auburn).

The problem with color that you buy in a store is that they ALL use the same volume developer; 20 volume. A quick lesson in hair color here: In order to go from light to dark you need to deposit color and not lift color. When I say volume this is what it means in normal terms. 10 volume will lift one level of color, 20 volume two levels, 30 volume 3 levels and 40 volume 4 levels. So when you bought that stuff in the store it not only deposited color but it lifted 2 levels. So you are left with a lighter color than what you want. Plus with reds they tend to fade quickly, especially if you use 20 volume.

Now for what to do to fix your problem. You need to go to a beauty supply store or better yet a hair dresser. But if you choose to do this yourself go to the beauty supply store, pick out the color you want and buy a 10 volume bottle of developer (peroxide) Then when you color your hair you will get a much truer color. 10 volume always worked great for me and I have a light strawberry blonde hair color naturally. I took this picture to a hair salon and asked for this color. My hair was a blondeish/golden (with orangeish in some areas) and the result was a dark brown with a reddish tint. NOT the color i wanted. How to fix it?

brown hair colour fades very fast. you could end up with that colour in two weeks. don't worry, brown is one of the least problematic hair dyes. black and red cause havoc but if you just wash your hair thorough every day over the next few weeks it will almost certainly look a lot different.

Can I get this red hair color?

I have medium brown hair kinda ashy with some gold. I want to temporarily dye it this color to try it out.

Can I get this color with demi or semi permanent hair dye? Also, it is summer now but my school doesn't allow unnatural colors so could I easily dye it an auburn color for school? Would you consider this unnatural? Also what brands do you recommend?

you must bleach first . i wanted hair red too. like that color. but then i didnt bleach it and i messed everything up. its not unnatural. its pretty. at least in my opinion. DONT get loreal. gave me an allergic reaction. or maybe thats just me. but loreal has nice colors. get john frieda or revlon. but i really dont recommend this color for dark hair colors because bleaching seriously fries your hair. i definitely recommend revlon luminista for other colors. its designed for dark hair to make it a lighter color.

If i dye my hair red will i get my natural color back?

once you dyed your hair red, it will stay red until your hair grows. when your hair grows, it will be your natural hair color. so your roots would be your natural hair color first. unless you dye it again

I want to dye my hair soon, but I don't know how exactly. I have brown hair with blonde streaks now, and I'm tired of it. I was thinking about a dark red color, but I can't find anything I really like. I've tried google images, but there aren't any galleries to look at, and I don't see what I want.
