Can dark skin black women look good with red hair?

Red can go on many people if you go with a cooler red such as a deep burgundy, dark reddish brown, a mahogany or even true red highlights if you want to be daring you can do some over your current color and bleach some of your hair and do some over that to give it a real pop.

If one or both of your parents are black this makes you black or of mixed heritage nothibg to do with the colour of your hair sister! Look at michael jackson his skin is white but he still a black man!

Artistic and beautiful! I say it's a part of black beauty too.It suits some and some just look like a hot ghetto mess thinking they got it.If they took a look at the shade of their complexion and see just the right shade,such as a dark brown girl should take a more cinnamon dark red.I remember their was something like a chart in one of my black magazines and it speaks the truth.

I think we look best with our natural hair color. My hair color is DARK BLACK and it really compliments my skin tone (medium brown).

Well, some black women just really love making a statement, they're loud and proud and so is their hair and nails. lol.

I for one think the main reason many people believe black women have no hair is b/ca a lot of black women are unrealistic about their choice of hair styles. Sometimes when I want to give my hair a break, I get my natural hair tree braided with extensions that look like MY hair. No one ever notices the difference. White women and Asian women wear weaves and wigs but nobody, (unless you're an experienced veteran ;D) can really tell the difference. They hit their mark but many fine black woman are missing theirs.

What is the significance of a few strands of dark red hair worn by an Indian woman.?

The older Indian women I work with all have a few strands of Dark Red hair mixed in with their jet black natural color. The red is not natural and it is only isolated single strands. What does this mean? I don't feel comfortable asking them.
The women do not have the dot on their forehead, so perhaps the few random strands is a substitute for it.

Do these women you know have the traditional red dot (tika) on their forehead? If not, the red hair strands could be a substitute or variant of the red dot.

The red hair strands may be a symbol of sacred purity and power. Historically, more of the central part of the hair would be dyed, but maybe it has been reduced to a set of strands for more subtlety or assimilation reasons.

What color clothing will look good with my unnaturally red hair?

Okay so in my last question some one gave me advice as to what colors would look good with my red hair. The color that i have literally looks like a red crayola crayon. The girl had said that black, white, navy and dark green would look good with my hair. what other colors do you think would look nice? I have tan skin too. (if that helps out some how)

You sound really pretty. Hahahaa.(: I wouldn't wear black close to your face: choose tops and accessories in natural, earth tones such as dark and olive greens, beiges, browns, golds, camel and even orange reds. Black is OK to wear on skirts and trousers. If you have a black jacket that you like, don't worry: you can always brighten it up with a shawl in the colors mentioned above. Purple, bright red, navy and pink are also on the no-no list and should probably be avoided. There is in fact a whole debate going on between stylists as to whether the clash between red hair and colors such as pink or purple is fashionable or tacky. Pale pink, for example, may suit dark redheads but looks edgy and "loud" on women with a more copper-colored 'do.

In the end, it's a matter of each and every woman's taste - but as an overall piece of advice, avoid such colors unless you're looking to make sure every eye is on you at a party or on an evening out with your friends. If you do want to wear pink, for example, make sure you go for a more intense or darker shade of pink for the bottom half and a lighter shade for your top. Pink accessories are not a good idea. If there was guy who has brown hair and woman with red hair, what color will their baby's hair be?

Never underestimate the power of recessive genes. When they get together, they can really surprise you. Genetics is an amazing study.

I knew a 1/2 black, 1/2 white woman and a redhead man who had 2 children with blue eyes. Apparently the woman had a recessive gene for blue eyes. Normally with this coupling you would expect the brown eye dominance.

And albinism is the result of two recessive genes meeting when both parents have normal melanin, but carry the gene unknowingly. There is a 25% chance of this with each birth.

So you never really know because each person carries a set of dominant genes (what you see) and recessive genes (what you don't see).

Why do Caucasians believe other ethnicities shouldn't have light colored hair?

I heard a Caucasian lady make a negative comment about a Black woman with blondish hair color. I am Black and my daughter was born with natural RED hair as she grows older its turning a golden brown/blonde and my daughter is Black so Caucasians should start to open their eyes more, other ethnicities can have lighter colored hair NATURALLY!

People should avoid generalizations of course, and saying something like "Blacks shouldn't have blonde hair" is an egregious generalization.

But so is saying something like "Caucasians don't believe other ethnicity's shouldn't have light hair."
