Answer
There just red.

Surprised huh?

Because red is a strong color.

Can I get my hair this color using box dye without bleaching?

Q. My hair now: http://pinterest.com/pin/469992911083583482/
Color I want: http://pinterest.com/pin/469992911083584828/

If so, what color dye should I use?

Answer
Oh, I was thinking you were going to go superlight. But, you can actually just get a light auburn color, if you get a dark auburn, your hair will still look very dark and only some traces of red highlights will show up. So go with a light auburn, and you should get that color easily. The hard part will be maintain it that color. As the color(auburn) fades, your hair will start to look orange, so I would invest in a good shampoo and conditioner that adds color to your hair everytime you wash, or not wash your hair as often if you can. I have used John frieda's brand, and it works well, but there are more expensive brands out there. Also, don't be fooled by the more expensive fancy looking dye brands, like L'Oreal feria. In my opinion, that is one brand that is overpriced and worthless. Me and a couple of my female friends have not been impressed. To me, that particular brand fades easily. So, if you have virgin hair, even the cheaper brands will work nicely for the color you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps and good luck:)

How do I get my hair this color red? *10 points*?

misty

http://pinterest.com/pin/316448311286713320/

my hair is blonde, like yellow blonde from bleaching it. how can I get this color? Do i have to have dark hair before going over with red? and What red would you recommend?

Answer
Id recomend a semi permenant hair color by manic panic. Since u bleached your hair if you permanent die it right away youll damage your hair really bad . Im talking hair breaking everywhere . Trust me! Try this one its cheap and comes out super awsome on your hair . Best part is you can chose what kind of red you want. The closest one that i could find to your picture is this one but you can choose heres the link http://haircrazy.com/product/vampire-red/

EDIT: the person below me said "manic panic stains like crazy" all hair dye stains like crazy thats why its DYE duh. just wear gloves and you should be fine. in addition, she advised you to use developer why would you use developer when your hair, as you stated, was already bleached ? if you use more developer over already bleached hair you won't have any hair left and thats a fact. listen to me. if you use permanent hair dye on just bleached hair it might be too much and you're likely to expecrience breaking damage and shedding. use manic panic I'm telling you and wear gloves and an old shirt. why don't you youtube manic panic

Where can I get this hair color?

Tutu

Would Red Henna Hair Dye Have Any Effect With My Hair Colour?

Onew Worl

Hello!
So I was wondering if adding red henna to my hair would make much of a difference.
My hair colour is pretty close to this
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrVYMgSN2HZffu9eoj3WDnrWuiG-xCnNiAzYb8tnpwJkSbqxvZ0PpPTmrjyzibA6f_2ACtrTniHLG8CV1QBdPnOf-DAZkfCRbh373bjcqLw1Atv8GpPXPj1svjFv1A4ZIoOB4Z-vN08iI/s1600/Clairol+Perfect+10.jpg
and I was wondering what I'm supposed to mix, and why people add things such as pomegranate juice into it.
I wanted to go for a oxblood hair colour, but apparently that's hard to achieve if you hair colour isn't very bright on it's own.
Thank you!
I forgot to add that in the light it looks light brown

Answer
My hair is naturally that colour too. Henna will tint your hair red, I have done five or so henna applications in the past two or three years and now my hair is very red in the light, but still dark. I love the colour sort of like this http://pinterest.com/pin/402579654160203626/ but red rather than purple.

Looking for a dark red hair dye (pictures)?

Sierra

I'm looking for a box hair dye to get this color red: http://pinterest.com/pin/91972017360360238/
My hair is really dark brown/faded black

Answer
You'd have to get it professionally done if you want it to be that color. It's a mix of sorta purple and red. It pretty cheap and you'll get that hair color.
But you could always try a red hair dye for dark hair but it will more than likely turn more red than you want

What kind of drugstore hair dye should i use for ombre hair?

So i have kinda meduim brown hair and i want to do ombre hair (blonde on the tips) i got this revlon colorsilk stuff at walgreens and i was reading about it and it said if u have dark hair youll get red tones and i dont want red hair!! So I tryed just a tiny piece and it didnt even dye it ughh! So i heard L'Oreal Paris ombre kit is a good dye, Clariol natural insticts, and revlon frost and glow. What kind should i use? Whats the best one?!:) thanks guys!!

Answer
I used loreal feria ombré on my reddish blond hair I to use two boxes but it looks so cute. If you've colored your hair before you might only need one box, I had never colored my hair before and I used the lightest color box thinking it would turn my hair that color but my red hair was a lil darker than I thought so it took 2 boxes.
The loreal feria ombré comes in three different shades, it has a comb so you just brush it in or you mix it in a bowl and use a paint brush like my stylist did but either way comes out great. If you DIY the comb is probably easier.
As for the color i would get the darkest color box if your hair extension is dark so you dont have same problem i did, it will help to lighten it faster however, the pic on pinterest of what you want your hair to look like, the chic in that picture probably bleached her hair to get it that blond. most likely you will need to do two boxes to get your dark hair that blond. bleach is more expensive and more damaging to your hair, according to my stylist, cause i was ready to just jump right in to bleaching i wanted to do ombre so bad lol. when i first used the loreal i tried by myself didnt work was hardlyable to see it. then i had my stylist do it with the same dye is used and she double prosessed it(use 2 boxes) then i got my ombre results. but idk if that was because my hair was red and i was using the lightest color blond dye box, cause i had not ever colored my hair before or maybe my hair needed to be bleached I have no idea but you may only need one box, red hair is tricky lol. Buy one box and if not the desired look go two boxes but try to match your extension color to the original hair color on back of dye boxes. Defiantly recommend loreal feria ombré though. Good luck with your ombré!! it's cute and edgy but it looks great on everyone..in my opinion. So you'll look fab

How can I achieve a rich red color with henna?

Jess

I have dyed my hair 3 times already with henna in the past 6 months.
1st time with "Caca Marron" from Lush brand
and the other 2 times with "Caca Rouge".

I want t real nice rich red color.
This is by far the color I would love to get:

http://pinterest.com/pin/121315783684413692/

But this is a close representation of the color I currently have with a pinch less red tone:

http://www.short-hair-style.com/images/red-hair-medium-copper-golden-blonde-21596525.jpg
Also my roots peeked out before I did the henna, and now my roots are continuously dark no matter how many times I dye with henna.

Answer
Of course your roots are dark, henna does not lighten your hair, it just adds red. For a brighter red you will need to bleach your hair, and then maybe re-henna.

How to have a summer makeover?

Allie

So this summer, I want to change. My appearance kind of.. Idk I want to shock everyone when I come back next year. I am going to be a sophomore.

What Im planning to do
-grow my hair out, won't use heat, my hair is naturally straight
-get a tan, i am VERY PALE i usually put a bit of self tanner on
-gain muslce, i am skinny but i want to look more toned
-different style, I shop at places like brandy melville, urban, forever21 and h&m
-lighten my hair naturally with lemon juice, my friend did this and it worked for her

i have more I can;t think of right now. but if you did something like this, what did you do & how long did it take.
also any tips for growing out hair, tanning better without being overtan, and what workouts to do to gain muslce, and other ways to lighten hair without dying it. thank you!

Answer
Hi! I know what you mean, after every break i changed my appearance haha. It's just fun to change up our looks and see people's reactions.

Some things you could do:
- Change your makeup/start wearing some
Makeup is a great way to enhance your features and a little goes a long way! A winged eyeliner look is really nice.

- Dye your hair
Probably not good for the growing process, but if you really want to change it up, go for henna. Maybe don't go a red colour if you don't want to look paler, but do it if you are going to tan. If you don't want to change your whole hair colour, you can try the lemon thing on the tips of your hair for a natural ombre look, or on strands.

- Get a fringe or grow it out
Getting a fringe or growing one out can make a huge difference. Have a look at some fringes (if you don't have one) on Google. If you do have one, then maybe get a different style or grow it out. There are some pretty cool fringes out there, I love the rockabilly look with the full fringe that is really short, there's also a full fringe that is slightly vertical, I love that too! Might not be your cup of tea, but just have a look :)

- Get extensions
You don't have to do this if you don't want to, it's expensive and is high maintenance. I wouldn't recommend this unless you REALLY wanted longer hair. The only thing though is that most people will notice, depending on people's opinions, some might think it's fake (bad fake), some might think it's okay. You decide.

Style:
With changing your style, have a look on pinterest and tumblr. There are tons of different styles of outfits on there. For example, if you like the boho look, search up boho, paste your favourite boho outfits onto a document and print them off. Gather some other styles you like a lot, choose a couple of styles you like THE MOST. Do your research at what stores are boho, chic, vintage, etc, go to the stores, try on some outfits that you think are closest to the style. If you think it just doesn't work for you, then that's okay, move on and see what other styles are out there.

Pale:
I am also a pale girl. I just wanted to say that you don't have to make yourself tan because everyone else is. I sometimes do it as well, but only because I want to, not anyone else. Please don't make pale girls extinct because everyone is telling you to! I thought that was the way to go once, everyone always comments on how tan they are compared to me. So i'd tan and make myself bronzer, getting caught in the midst of it, I'd think i'm not tan enough, so i'd spray more and turn out orange the next day (don't do that haha!!). Thinking people would stop nagging at me, I'd go to school the next day and all people say is "Omg it's obvious you have fake tanned!!". Ugh!!!!! You just can't win! It's either be pale and have people nag at you or be fake tan and have people gossip about you. Now I just say "Yeah well I burn, not tan!".

My change:
About last year, over the holidays, I lost a lot of weight (exercise), ate healthy salads and only drank water (I still do!), I also dyed my hair darker (looks awesome with pale skin!), got a full fringe, and dyed the ends pink. I also advanced my clothing skills, before it was jeans and a tshirt, but now i am more like colourful jeans and a blouse with heels or studded flats. I also changed my makeup, I honestly looked like an anime doll! I was obsessed with kawaii and stuff back then, not so much now. I did winged eyeliner, made my eyes and lips look bigger with subtle rosy cheeks.

Last thing:
Sorry it's so long! Wow, haha! Anyway, just wanted to remind you that just because you are changing a lot of stuff on the outside, doesn't mean you should change the inside (unless you're a mean person lol). Don't change your personality or ego over this huge different change. I cannot begin to fathom how nice people dye their hair, get a slutty piercing, tongue piercing, get a boyfriend, etc, change their whole personality! What is so wrong with being nice?? Please just don't change your personality! Everyone is going to be "woah, she's changed so much! I wonder if she's a bitch now," (don't take offence!). When a nice person wears their skirt so high you can see Uranus and Mercury, it just is so sad they have to do that to get attention. LONG STORY SHORT; Don't you dare change your personality, unless it's for the best, and don't become a skank! Surprise all those people that subconsciously wonder if you have become what they hate!
