Black and red hair with purple tips?

T Vengeanc

okay so i want to die my hair black and red and then have purple tips with it too. i have straight brown hair that goes a little past my shoulders. i have been thinking about get that done for a long time. would i have to bleach my hair first to have the colors show up?

or if you could think of any other colors for my hair.

thanks

Answer
yea you would have to bleach your hair..BUT if you havent dyed your hair in a while (or ever) i would reccoment this: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=colour+rays&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=2387444891&ref=pd_sl_7w1dvtiyd5_e

they have red, and like a fuschia/purpley colour!! and this product bleaches your hair AND puts the dye on all at the same time. soo deffinetly use that if you haven't dyed your hair in a long time.

if you have dyed your hair recently, i reccomend bleaching the tips first rather than dying with black then bleaching. also i reccomend special effects hair color! it's da bomb. http://www.amphigory.com/special_effects_hairdye.html

as for black hair dye, Revlon is the way to go. :)

your hair idea sounds uhhmayzing! i would love seeing it :D

gewd luck, yo!

how do tip someones black hair with red tips?

i wnat to tips my friends hair black hair with red tips and they already have black hair, i just need to add the black tips.would i need to bleach their tips first of just tip them? amd how would i make it all even?

Answer
Buy a hair dying brush to brush on the bleach just on the tips of her hair. Have her leave her hair down when you do this. Then let it develop according to the directions, and rinse it out. Then follow the directions on the red hair dye (dont use regular drugstore red - it may go pink or orange). Try Manic Panic or one of those. This is how I always did my Asian friend's hair :) Good luck!

I once had red hair , but I didn't think it through & it was hard to maintain but now I've done research & thinking about dying it again & I just wanted some more tips & advices. Please & thank you :)

Answer
Red is the hardest color to maintain. Don't use hot water. You have to wash your hair with cold water.

What red hair coloring products are good?

What red hair dye brands won't faint and wash out everytime I shower, I wash my hair everyday. I have black hair and going to bleach it and get red. I was going to try splat hair dye but in the summer I tried teal and after a first shower my hair turned a seaweedish green. Any tips on how to keep my red hair not to fade and turn ginger.

Answer
Try using Sally Beauty's red hair dye but make sure it is the creme dye not the liquid,it last longer and it won't fade quickly.

Tips For Dyeing Your Hair Red

Planning on dyeing your hair yourself? Most colors 'take' well to hair, with the exception of shades of sexy red hair color, providing you do not try to go too many shades lighter or darker. Also, any time you use hair gel or other hair products the buildup grows even more. Washing your hair with a good chelating shampoo will remove all mineral buildup and will prepare your hair to be in optimum condition for dyeing. Too often mineral buildup on hair shafts can cause the dye to react with your hair and ultimately change the color of your hair to one you were not quite expecting.

When judging how the dye will affect your hair, do not go by the picture on the front of the hair dye box. That is more likely the color your hair will be.
Use the different creams and rinses included in the hair dye package as well, they are designed to help your hair dye last.

There are some simple tips that will help your red hair color dyeing experience turn out a success. As many of you may have already experienced, red hair dye does not always 'stick' so well to hair. If your hair has a lot of this type of build-up the dye will not stick to your hair as well. Getting rid of it gives the red hair dye a chance to work better.

Use a semi-permanent dye, the first time you try a new hair color. Do not try to totally change your hair color at home, only dye your own hair if you are going one or two shades different. Mistakes made when dyeing your own hair can be costly!
