How to dye hair tips to fade?

My hair is red, and I really want to dye the tips so that it's blonde on the very tips, and just fades so it turns into the red. I want it to fade so that it's not like... That awkward straight across line kind of thing. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this, and also, maybe a picture I could use? I keep trying to find one online to give to someone and it's just not coming up easily. Thank you!

I'm not sure of any tips, I would get it done if I were getting that done to my hair. If you have layers in your hair, you could put it on the tips of the longest part (not the layers), because then it won't be as noticeable in a straight-across format. Don't use bleach, because that could look harsh and dramatically different.

So I am planning to dye my hair, but I am not quite sure how I should dye it or what color? I have dark brown eyes, I'm mexican my skin tone is like Vanessa Hudgens like the fifth pic on this website http://m.ibtimes.com/vanessa-hudgens-birthday-high-school-musical-alum-23-photos-709248 , I'm petite, and I have a small face with small lips, small nose, small eyes, and big eyelashes.
