How do some Mexicans have red / orange hair?

Q. I am Mexican and I have white skin (Not pale white, but still considered white)

I also have several spots in my head and beard and mustache which have red / orange hairs. It probably makes up like 15% or more of my hair color.

How is this possible? I thought Mexicans descended from Asia.
People from Ireland have white skin that tans red. My white skin tans tan.

And only a FEW of my hairs are red and orange, the rest are black

Some Mexicans are mixed with European (called mestizos) or have predominately European lineage, which would cause them to have pale skin and light colored hair.

I Want a Caucasian Kid With Red hair and freckles?

Well, I am of African American descent with one beautiful African American child and now I want a Caucasian kid with red hair and freckles, how would I do that?

Some fertility clinics offer genetic counseling where they can provide you with a egg/sperm donor that is most likely to provide you with offspring that will match your preferences.

However, If you have particularly dark skin/hair/eyes it might be tough to get a kid with the traits you're asking for, as a red hair is a recessive trait that takes a backseat to dark features, same with freckles. You might get a Caucasian child but it might still have dark hair/eyes and no freckles. You may even get a Caucasian child with red hair and still no freckles, or a Caucasian child with brown, black or even blond hair and freckles.

You'd basically be playing the genetic lottery with your kids, but genetic counseling can help you determine what your odds are.

I think my hair color is a little... not very great so I'm trying to figure out the best hair color for my skin tone, and all I get is these stupid virtual picture hair things... I don't care about what a fake hairstyle looks like on my picture. I need the right color that looks best with my skin tone.

Well, maybe you're using the wrong type of virtual hairdresser.
Try seventeen.com's, because it works really well.
Or else purchase some different semi-permants or temporary dyes. They can be purchased at specialty beauty shops, like Sally's.
Temporary will just last a wash or two, and semi permanent (depending on how porous your hair is) will last about 10 washes.
Talk to your stylist about possible colors, too. They have little wig tester things that they hold up to your skin that'll get what color'll be pretty for your skin. :]

Generally, warm blondes look good on lighter skin, and the darker your skin, the darker your hair. Try getting highlights and lowlights, and using a glaze (John Freida - Walmart - $10) in your color to boost it.
It's all the rave in Seventeen, but I've used it and am personally in love with it. It keeps your red actually red, as long as you use it. :]

You wanna look good and in fashion? Dress the way i do. I live in portland a trendy vintagey place. Ok heres how you can dress, ditch graphic tees and as well as those nikes. Places i shop are american apparel( here you will shop you basic tees) if its to much target has basically the same typed of shirts a little more in budget. Why basic tee? If you have to wear tees dont have graphics on them. These come off childish and young. Wearing hollister and ambercrombie makes you look like a deuce and a metro so ditch those. If you want more of a preppy look a great outfit is again a basic tee of any color you like and get some chino shorts that match well ( mostly for summer use warm colors or pastels.) one of my outfits like this is a white tee with a navy blazer with a salmon colored chino short. Button ups! Yes both plaids and normal are great! They are both very in fashion. You can even wear them with chinos just role up the sleeves to where they are tight and above the elbow.also skinny jeans are great! But make sure you have the body type. If you have a muscular skinny (ciggarette) jeans are as flattering. I can never wear skinnys in unporportions my upper half. So if you are muscular like me wear slim straights or just slimfit. They are more flattering. Ok shoes. Dress shoes that can look casual and arent very "dressy"are perfect get them in a dark brown a perfect color for any outfit.you could wear dockers or sperrys. They are popular.also if you ever wonder about accesories. Ties watches and glasses are all good additions.jackets avoid pullovers and get blazers( thrifting they are easy) and button up jackets and military style jackets. Also another way to make yourself stick out and look better are skin care and hair. Hygeine even though its not apart of the question is also a plus to every outfit. Gelled haircuts are making a modern return like the new version of the pomp. I mean look at jt tunnel vision mv his suave hairstyle is a portrayl of 40s and 50s hairstyle. Most guys dont understand dressing well is apart of looking well. Always be shaved and well groomed. Also make your skin clear with neutrogina face washes and moistrizers. First of all, I am a White Male (with black hair) married to a redhead woman who I love and find endlessly fascinating and challenging. Redhead females are VERY passionate and interesting, they are delightfully full of vigor and life. Most men lack the ability to live with or handle a Redhead simply because they lack the art of understanding the nuances that are simply the nature of a Red Head woman.

I absolutely agree that Red Heads are a different genetic make up than other "species" of humans. In some ways better, in other ways worse off due to a higher sensitivity to UV Radiation causing them to sun burn very easily and possibly obtain skin cancer.

Redheads are wild, passionate and indeed very much like the devil in many ways but I'll that that ANY DAY over the other BORING types of women out there.

Some looks that look great on red heads are

A BROWN smokey eye (not black, its too intense)
-Using brown eyeliner, line your eyes around the lash lines. Then grab a brown eyeshadow and just blend it over your entire eyelid. Use a darker brown in the outer corner of both your lower and upper lash line.

A thin line of green, blue or purple on your top lashline, and half way across your bottom lashline (I know you said no purple, but it really does look great on red heads as its a contrasting colour, and if you only use a thin line it wont look like you got punched in the eye.. heh)
- Use a thin, slanted eye shadow brush for this and just draw a line along the top of your lash line. For a more intense colour, wet the brush before dipping it in the eyeshadow and apply. You can also do a little cat-eye flick with this which looks extra cool =]

As for mascara, use brown if you are wearing very natural eye makeup, and use black if you are doing something a bit more intense.
Same goes for eyeliners.

Foundation and powder.. just get one to match your skin colour and type (eg oily, dry, combination, normal...) PLEASE don't use too much foundation, only use just enough to make your skin look even and cover up any blemishes with concealer - only using it on the red area as needed. I can't even begin to stress how terrible girls look with lots of foundation on, you want to look naturally beautiful, not fully made up!!

You sound really pretty. Hahahaa.(: I wouldn't wear black close to your face: choose tops and accessories in natural, earth tones such as dark and olive greens, beiges, browns, golds, camel and even orange reds. Black is OK to wear on skirts and trousers. If you have a black jacket that you like, don't worry: you can always brighten it up with a shawl in the colors mentioned above. Purple, bright red, navy and pink are also on the no-no list and should probably be avoided. There is in fact a whole debate going on between stylists as to whether the clash between red hair and colors such as pink or purple is fashionable or tacky. Pale pink, for example, may suit dark redheads but looks edgy and "loud" on women with a more copper-colored 'do.

In the end, it's a matter of each and every woman's taste - but as an overall piece of advice, avoid such colors unless you're looking to make sure every eye is on you at a party or on an evening out with your friends. If you do want to wear pink, for example, make sure you go for a more intense or darker shade of pink for the bottom half and a lighter shade for your top. Pink accessories are not a good idea. Kaiba is right: "recessive" is a relative term. Its just a word thats used to describe a relationship between two traits (ie. Blond hair is recessive to black hair). So, when you are dealing with blond hair versus red hair, one trait will be dominant over the other trait.

A useful analogy: Both a cat and a mouse are weaker than an elephant. But when its cat versus mouse, one of the animals will be stronger then the other. Therefore, even though BOTH animals are weaker then the elephant, the cat is stronger then the mouse.

Actually, anything works. "Scene" is basically anything bright and eye-catching.
Try a few tops from PacSun (zebra or cheetah-printed V-necks can work), Neon colored skinny jeans from Hot Topic (or PacSun), or bright colored tights/leggings with a tutu from hot Topic.
Get accessories from Claire's; preferably rainbow beaded necklaces or anything of that sort.
Tease your hair, put in fake, colorful hair extensions (you can get them at Claire's or Hot Topic), put in BIG bows and clips.
Maybe wear a plastic necklace, with the pendant being the shape of a diamond. That's really "scene". Try looking in Zumies for that sort of necklace.

For all those haters I would just like to point out no one was hurt becoming scene, it's just self expression.

1.Hair
Dye your hair one or more of the following colors black, bleach blonde, neon colors (my hair is currently hot pink). Racoon tails and cheetah spots can also give you an edge. The typical scene hair style is very layered, razor cut, long, with side swept bangs. You can get extensions if your hair isn't long enough or you can do a modified shorter version of the scene haircut. Use lots of hair spray to give it volume.

2. Accessorize
All scene girls have lots of cute bracelets,studded belts, necklaces, piercings, bows, you name it. Kiki Kannibal makes her own jewelry. Most of it's cheap/plastic and you can go to places like sanrio (hello kitty) store, hot topic, or Claire's. Allot of scene girls where big diamond shaped pendants like these - http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/b/0/0/58/f/AAAAC7EnYzcAAAAAAFj55A.jpg. Cute handbags, leopard spotted leggings, fishnet or striped hand warmers, ties and corlorful bows are also typical. 3. Makeup
All scene girls wear heavy makeup. Pale powder, liquid eyeliner, black/neon colored nail polish, fake lashes, sometimes stenciled in eyebrows, colorful eye shadow, usually not that much lipstick but I have seen some girls with hot pink lips or bright red. Drawing in stars around your eyes is also neat. Go on youtube to see how to apply makeup. Never, ever have a spray on tan.

4. Clothing
Skinnies are always in, from black to any color or pattern in the rainbow. Tight t-shirts with band logos, cartoon characters/doodles, or cute patterns (animal print, cherries, skulls, checkers, polka-dots, stars). Allot of scene clothes have leopard spots or zebra stripes, it's usually pretty outrageous. Short shorts and pleated mini-skirts are also in. Also a skater hoodie is good in cold weather. As for shoes it's usually ballet slippers, vans or converse. Also allot of scene kids make their own clothes and even go to 2nd hand stores to get vintage junk.

5. Tattoos
Most scene girls don't have tattoos because they're not old enough but the ones that are usually get tattoos. Popular scene tattoos are usually a chest tattoo, stars, cute skulls, and pop culture characters. Remember scene is just a fad and you might not have the same style five years from now. Whatever tattoo you do get is permanent.

Now we got the looks out of the way how about actions?

6. Friends
Most scene kids hang out with other scene kids. It's kinda shallow but it's true. Scenegirls are always taking pictures with other scene girls. It doesn't mean you have to dump your old friends it's just nice to have someone that has your same style. The best thing to compliment a scene girl is a scene guy. Most scene guys are in a band. Go to lots parties where your surrounded by people of alternative styles. Make sure to go to all your favorite band concerts with friends.

7. music
Allot of scene kids are in a band. I'm currently the lead guitarist for my band. Also there is allot of good emo/scene music out there. Scene kids are always finding new bands to listen too. Here is some stuff you should try- eyes set to kill, angelspit, the agonist, ATL, Cute is what we aim for, paramore, My chemical romance, Hollywood Undead, Confessions on a Death Bed, ATTILA, All American-Rejects, Bring Me the Horizon, Flyleaf, Bullet for My Vallentine, Scotty Vanity, Porcelain, and the Tramps, Escape the Fate, Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, Be you own pet, From first to last, from autumn to ashes, Three days grace. 8. Pictures

Take allot of pictures of yourself from different angles. Get a good quality camera no one like fuzzy phone pix or better yet get a professional photographer. Allot of scene girls model. Take photos of yourself from above or with a mirror, make pout faces or write your best friends name on your hand with a heart. Use lots of photo shop to add borders, effects, and little doodles.

9. The Internet

Internet is what make scene girls scene girls. You need at least a myspace page, a facebook page and a twitter page. Choose a name for yourself like Mimi Malice, Hannie Kickdrop, Dakota Rose, anything. My name is Sol Solarpower. Upload all your photos, get as many friends as possible and use internet lingo like <3, XD, RAWR which is I love you in dinosaur. Post stuff on other peoples pages and always keep it simple and cute.

10. Personality
It's important not to lose yourself when becoming scene. Don't act like a poser, just be yourself and be confident. Also be a good role model for others, like allot of scene kids who become activist. I've been vegan for 2 years. Don't become a total stuck up cliquish bitch.

I've been dying my hair a very red hair color (Loreal Paris Feria, Ruby Red) and it fades in about a week or two and it dries my hair out. How do I prevent it from doing this or at least make it last a little longer?

People have told me to use shampoo and conditioner without sulfate. If that's the case, what would you recommend if you use that?

Its fading due to dryness (which you already know because your hair is dry right now, lol). To prevent this you should use shampoos and conditioners formulated for color treated hair and moisturize it intensely. I can not stress that enough.

MOISTURE MOISTURE MOISTURE.

I suggest Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo and Conditioner. Also, Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing Shampoo and Condish. The Shampoo contains low sulfates.

I also recommend deep conditioning treatments like Aussie 3 min deeeeeep conditioner and Aussie Moist conditioner. Leave in conditioners help as well.

Also, if you MUST wash your hair every other day and can not avoid it, skip the shampoo and use conditioner instead. This is known as "co-washing". Then at the end of the week use shampoo to get all the gunk out and use conditioner afterwards.

Homemade conditioners are great too. Mix one egg, honey, olive oil(or coconut oil) and mayo. Keep it in for 10-15 mins under a shower cap to allow heat to generate from your scalp. This opens up the cuticles and allow it to penetrate deeper.

And if you want more red without the dryness try Hibiscus Tea/Powder. Hibiscus is known to enhance/create red tones. The tea you can buy at stores. After making it allow it to cool. Pour it over your hair, keep it in for 30 mins to an hour and rinse. As for the powder, add conditioner to it and use it like a mask. Keep it in for as long as you like before rinsing it out. The good thing is, no matter how long you leave it in (unlike hair dye) it wont damage your hair. Leave it in over night if you like and then wash it out the next day.

Creepy Dream has been bothering me.....?

Does anyone have any interpretations/advice for me? i've had this creepy dream 8 times, once every week. Usually on a Wednesday, sometimes on fridays.
this story seems to take place in the 50s/40s, at least that's the style of clothing everyone's wearing in the dream, all trench coats and hats and dresses....
i'm a police officer assigned to guard this famous actress whose been getting death threats. she has red hair and is funny. i'm guarding her while she's at this studio/thing meeting w/ her agent, and suddenly i see this guy. he's supposed to be my fiance. i go over and talk with him for a while. then he leaves and i take a walk. i'm trying to convince myself to go back to protecting, but it's like my legs won't allow me to walk back to the studio. suddenly, the chief of police is there. he tells me that the actress is missing. i feel really guilty. me and the chief jump into the car and drive around looking for her until we get word that she had been found.... murdered. i start to cry because i feel so guilty and the chief keeps telling me it's not my fault when we're at the crime scene (which is the studio, no body, just yellow police tape everywhere). suddenly, i see my "fiance" lurking in the shadows, and i come to the realization that he is the killer.

then, i wake up.

Ok, i saw this movie a while ago because in my free time i like to watch old musicals and pleasant films from the 50's and 60's. Unfortunately, because i watched it a couple months ago online, i dont remember the name of it or which stars were in it. Hopefully someone here is well versed in the movies of this time period and could help me.

This was not a drama, it was definitely a light hearted film, probably from MGM since i watch a lot of their movies, i dont recall it had many musical numbers though. Its from the 50s or 60s and it was in color, but as part of the plot it is set in a time period when they were first transitioning from silent films to talkies. Now here are a few scenes i remember from the movie. In the beginning it starts out with movie stars arriving to some movie debut. And the press is taking pictures of them and asking brief questions about the film. Then i remember there is some guy trying to run away for some reason, i think a crowd of fans were chasing him then the police are chasing him or end up chasing him, not sure. Hes a movie star too, he hops on the back of a passing bus, hops off later, and his clothes are all ragged from fans ripping them off, so no one recognizes him as a movie star anymore now that hes not presentable. He manages to get a car, then picks up a random girl to give her a ride cause he claims hes going in the same direction but he really just finds her attractive. She has short hair, either red or brown. In the car they discuss what line of work theyre both in, one of them has a newspaper open. She downplays his acting and makes it seem like theatre actors are better than movie screen actors and assumes that hes a untalented snob and makes it seem like her line of work is more esteemed. She leaves the car without exchanging contacts upon arriving at her stop. He later sees this girl performing with a group of girls in pink costumes at some movie executives party where they are debuting the first movie with sound. He makes fun of her like, hey i remember you, youre that "serious" actress i gave a ride to a while back, poking fun that an actress at her prestigious level should not be doing freelance group dance routines, the guy is just playing sarcastic overall the guy is still interested in her. Earlier in the movie there were scenes of a movie being made, they started off with silent films, and this same guys costar is a short hair blonde chick who was also in the big movie premiere in the intro. In this scene in the romance movie theyre making, this chick is in a powdered wig and the same actor guy is trying to woo her, and theyre mouthing words to each other with expressions of love on their faces but theyre really insulting each other all the while because they do not like each other, it doesnt get picked up tho because again its a silent film theyre doing. They are all dressed very mozart opera style. Before the project is completed, the studio head decided to make it a talking film so in the transition, they showed how the script sucked, and they showed how they played around with the idea of where they are going to put the mic on set to pic up sound. They put it in the flowers close to the girl, they sewed it in her bust, they tried to put it under her dress, many failed attempts till finally something worked. This same actress had a high pitch voice, and was shown as being very demanding and pompus, thinking she is more valuable to the movie industry than she really is, completely in love with her stardom, all the while she has someone do voiceovers for her in movies and live performances, because with the conversion from silent films to talkies they now had to deal with her annoying high pitch voice since they deemed it not suitable for her work. Anyhow, at the end, she is exposed when shes on stage singing something and someone opens the curtains to reveal that someone else was backstage singing for her all along. And im sure the actor guy ended up with the chick he was interested in from the beginning. And thats all i remember.

I tend to watch a lot of movies with gene kelly, judy garland, marilyn monroe, fred astaire, but i dont believe any of these people were in this film, i checked their film lists and none of the titles seemed to match this movie. The only one i possibly thought came close was gene kelly because i could have sworn he was the main character actor guy but i dont see the proper title of the movie under his movie listings. I think the Blonde chick in this film may have been a big star of the time, not sure. Hopefully someone here will recognize my plot description i would so greatly appreciate all suggestions as to whats the name of this movie. Thank you!
Man, i am a major DUNCE! I can believe it was singing in the rain all along, its been right under my nose sitting in my movie file! I recently downloaded it knowing it was a classic i had watched once before and enjoyed but i hadnt seen it again since. I kept canceling singing in the rain out as an option because the only scenes my memory kept associating with it were the "good morning" scene in someones house with three people dancing and singing, the part where Gene is "singing and dancing in the Rain", and towards the end the big avant-garde broadway set up number with cyd charise and all the lights and extravaganza. For some reason my mind took the rest of the plot and envisioned it was a completely different movie, ha! Perhaps goes to show how the singing in the rain concept and title did not best describe the movie, as said by other critics. Bottom line, THANX so much for your help tonight, its been running through my mind all week and now i can rest easy and watch it 2mrw, YAY!

help me choose clean up crew for salt tank?

Honestly, your algae is growing faster than your cridders can clean it. Helping them out by actually removing some on your own will help the tank. Adding too many more "clean up" guys is just going to over load your tank.

Your crew is in place. You can also try running phosphorus pads to help cut down on the algae.

Here are a few helpful, (and natural) hints for a better complexion for a lifetime:
- avoid touching your face throughout the day (dirt, bacteria, grease, etc.. from your hands can clog pores or cause infection)
- avoid any products with alcohol (internally or externally)
- only use gentle, alcohol-free cleansers on your face
- avoid scented soaps and creams
- have a daily facial cleansing routine (2x daily, morning & night. Do not scrub as this will irritate the skin)
- try a dairy milk face-soak during a flare-up (as long as you're not allergic) The dairy milk helps to balance the natural PH of the skin
- try using face lotion containing certified green algae (use lotion, not creams, as lotion is more gentle on the skin and absorbs more easily)
- avoid extended periods in direct sun (use sunblock with 15 - 30 spf)
- drink green tea, rose hip tea, and fennel tea (great antioxidants)
- eat foods high in anti-oxidants; such as blueberries, cranberries, purple grapes, broccoli, etc..
- avoid eating spicy foods and greasy foods
- find out what your own personal food "triggers" are and avoid them so you can avoid flare-ups of redness and acne. (many people find food with histamines aggravate the redness)
- avoid hot things. Hot showers & hot tubs, hot drinks (the heat will dilate blood vessels causing more redness)
- try to get at least 7 - 8 hours of sleep each night (aids in the healing processes of the body)
- try to cut down on stress (stress can magnify a multitude of conditions) :) :)

I want to create a burgundy color out of my bright red hair dye I have.. The color I have is a bright red, literally just a straight up red. It is the color I have on my hair now, but it is a bit faded... I want to dye my hair a really deep red with a hint of dark purple, a kind of burgundy color, but I can't find a hair dye that is the color I want. So, is there any way I could buy different colors and mix them together to create the color I want? if so, what colors should I buy? (just a little fyi: I use ONLY professional hair dyes, no box dyes from mal mart or sally's and no manic panic stuff, I buy professional dyes from places like Armstrong's.....)

Mix a 6RV, and a 5N...add a dash of 5R...Equal parts 20 volume peroxide processing solution. So if you have 2 oz. of 6RV...2oz. 5N and a dash ( 1/8 oz.) of 5R you would add just a little over 4 oz. of processing solution. These colors are typically carried in every pro line and you need to get them in permanent. Personally I would try to fade out a little of the red first with a soap cap ( 1 part bleach powder, 1 part shampoo, 1 part water) lather it up and put it on your wet hair like shampoo, put a bag on your head for no more than 15 min or until you see a little change. Rinse out, wash again with regular shampoo...dry hair and go ahead with coloring process.This will allow the color to take better without having to bleach the hair out and it will be more vibrant. Use deep conditioner after and maybe a little protein ( you can get this at pro supply store as well) Hope that helps!

Totally possible. I know several people with red hair and green eyes. The two genes are completely unrelated and a person can have red hair with any color eyes. I have a cousin who has red hair and brown eyes. And I know a couple little kids with red hair and blue eyes. So really all three are possible, including all different shades of red. The hair is incredibly recessive, even moreso than blonde. And the eyes come from a mutation of the blue and brown genes.

Red hair is a recessive trait, so you would need to carry the gene for that in order for your baby to have it. If your father has green or blue eyes, then you would have inherited one of those genes from him, so there is probably a 50% chance of the baby having blue or green eyes.

Will lightening my hair to a blondish color help me get a bright red hair color?

I have browmish-blackish hair with blonde highlights. I am wondering if I lighten my hair to a light brownish color or even Blonde will it give me a brighter alburn/red hair color? I think it will be brighter. I've dyed my hair red before and bleaching it first really worked out well. I personally didn't want to bleach my hair so it would be blonde. I did it so it would take the color better than my black hair. If you go to WalMart or Drug Mart there's normally a bleach/dye kit called Clairol Born Blonde and get the one with the lady with the short hair. Remember this is used to lighten your hair and you might need two boxes.

How can I darken my red hair without losing the natural highlights?

Q. I have red hair, but I'm out in the sun a lot and it's streaked with both blonde, and a little gray these days. I would like to darken it up a little, because the color looks a little washed out and has no depth, but I don't want that single toned look of coloring, and I don't want to cover all the highlights. Your best bet is to try a color depositing shampoo. It revs up the natural tones in your hair and kicks up the hue without drastically changing the color. Your second best bet would be a color glaze, which does basically the same thing, though the color glaze is not used like a shampoo but like a conditioner.

John Frieda has both of these products for red hair.

If you actually want to dye the hair, one thing you have to remember is to make sure that the package has "semi" or "demi" permanent on the box and absolutely make sure it says "ammonia free". With natural red hair you do NOT want ammonia, it will end up orange. If you are going to dye it, pick a shade that is no more than 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural color. This is especially important since you are trying to preserve the natural highlites. You mentioned you have some gray, so keep in mind that grays are more stubborn to color than pigmented hues. They may turn out lighter than the rest of your hair.

Many other brands have color glazes and color depositing shampoos but John Frieda is a popular one. L'Oreal and Garnier are also good, and both offer "box dye".

adding a bit of a deep red might look cool. it doesnt appear like ginger kid red, but it has a slight redish tint.

Garnier Nutrisse or Revlon are good brands, but i recommend going to the hair stylist if you dont want any mistakes! they also have the best hair products.

Dyed black hair can often be a very harsh look on fair-skinned people - we can't all be Snow White.
What kind of dark brown are you using? Make sure it's permanent. I've had good experiences with Garnier Nutrisse and 100% Color.
A blue black is exactly the opposite of what you're looking for if you want it to be less harsh - blue black is the blackest black. Look for a red based dark brown.

Usually not. Most public school dress codes prevent skimpy clothing, distracting clothing (like a halter top, bikini, etc.), and offensive clothing (mostly slogans on tee shirts and such).
