My hair is naturally red. It's sort of like Donna's from That's 70s Show, but it's a little darker red. My eyebrows are are light brown. Is that normal?

Answer
Yeah, it's completely normal. I've seen a lot of redheads with brown eyebrows and it looks fine.

what should i wear if im going to dress up as debbie harry when she was young?

hey
i wanna look like debbie harry (from blondie) for my highschools look alike day..
what should i wear
what kind of make up should i wear
how should i style my hair ?
My hair is longish and blonde and im not gunna cut it.

Answer
I love Debbie Harry and Blondie, that sounds like fun!

First you need to get the signature blonde hair. If you have blonde hair you can blow dry it trying to add as much extra volume as possible. Her hair always was a little two toned so if you really really want to look like her you could dye the under layers light brown. It was usually shoulder lenght but sometimes longer and sometimes shorter. The first link shows a good example of her usual hair style.

For the makeup you have two options. You can either go with her late 70s look, which is dark with smokey eye shadow and dark eyeliner with a little bit of a cat eye (link #2) Or you could do her early 80s look, which includes lighter colors, pink or purple eye shadow with extra long lashes. She wore a lot of blush at times so apply it as you wish. For your lips wear a bright red or pink lipstick with a glossy cover. Link #3 shows how she wore the last look.

The clothes. If you really want to look 80's go with something like link #4. She often wore less "80s style" clothes and more classy yet funky clothes like link #5(this is also another good example of her hair and make-up). She is probably best known for her white dress that she wore on the cover of Blondie's album Parallel Lines (link # 6), but be careful you don't want to look like Marilyn Monroe! Another detail you can add is sunglasses. I noticed that she always wore the same glasses that she wore in the video in link #7. If you are going for her 80s look you can't go wrong with bright neon colors, layers and leg warmers. If you are feeling really wild you could dress like Debbie on the cover of Blondie's greatest hits CD (link #8, it looks a little like a pillow case to me!).

You can try watching Blondie videos on YouTube if you need more info. There are some great examples in those videos!

I think that's it. Have fun and don't forget to smile like you just robbed a bank!

Also here's great site that describes how to get Debbie's look from link #2. Here's the link: http://thepowdergroup.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Scroll down a little and you will find it.

A good friend of mine a real nice guy has red hair and he's had only one girlfriend. But I think he can be attractive to any girl. He's like me in a way only I've had more girlfriends but his relationship lasted longer. Anyone can be attractive but a personality counts most. It's depressing that they say red hair may die out within the next hundreds of years.

Also I find red hair on woman just beautiful. Well on most. But I love ALL hair colors/styles and nice eyes on girls too.

Yes! I've always been jealous of gingers and I think, if pulled off right, it's the most attractive hair color a man could have.

What makeup should i wear red hair and hazel eyes?

red hair color makeup
on Bridal Makeup Tips: Pink-red Lipstick for darker skin-tones
red hair color makeup image
Q. I have hazel eyes and dyed red hair its a medium aubern color, and I really need a makeup style. All my sisters have red hair and blue eyes, so I can't really ask them for help.

Answer
Eyeliner
The most essential constituent of a makeup kit for any woman is an eyeliner or an eye pencil. The hazel eye color gives a wide range of color choices as far as the eyeliners go.

Brown color is the safest bet and also a classic option that women can opt for doing up their eyes. This is especially true for makeup for hazel eyes and red hair because red color is a soft color shade. Anything dark like black or dark gray colors will give you a dramatic eye makeup.

Although when to use liquid eyeliner and an eye pencil is different for different types of eyes e.g. close set or deep set, etc. another makeup tip is that women with hazel eyes have the freedom to use either. Only criteria is to use colors that suits the occasion, dramatic or simple.

Eyeshadow
The basic and important function of an eyeshadow is to conceal the dark circles under eyes as well as define the shape of the eyes. Since here we are concerned with makeup for hazel eyes, emphasis is on the eye only. Mauve, lighter shades of purple and brown, pearl, peach, beige or light pink colors suits the hazel eye the best. In short choose more translucent colors while going in for makeup for hazel eyes.

Light green, lilac and tones of plum can also be experimented with. These are safe colors too. The darker shades of these can be used for the night or evening time parties or get-togethers. Another tip for daytime usage is to opt for light blue or faint gray color eyeshadow. This will give you almost a no-makeup look.

Mascara
Mascara opens up your eyes by working upon the eyelashes. Though the basic criteria for choosing the right mascara depends on the eyelash type more than the color of the eyes, the criteria for selection of the color remains the same, i.e., it should suit your complexion, eye and hair color as well. So the classic black is the color to go for if you are selecting makeup for hazel eyes and black hair.

Hazel eyes tend to look little drowsy as compared to other eye colors. That is also the reason why it looks milder too. So mascara is one of the most essential cosmetics for these doe eyed beauties. Depending on the hair color again, they can try colors ranging from light brown, dark brown, black, the glossy wet look mascara too! This is the one of the biggest advantages of hazel eyes, they can experiment and use almost any kind of eye makeup. The wet look mascara is sure to look amazing on hazel eyes.

So these were the tips of makeup for hazel eyes. Go on and enjoy looking gorgeous now that you are equipped with this information. But the last makeup tip I would like to give is to stay natural and take care of the eyes.

p.s:dont wear a red blush with red hair! instead use a pale pink blush and either a light pink or nude lip color

What I mean is what are the most known facial characteristics of the Ancient Romans? I'm looking for noses, cheekbones, jawlines, mouths and eye shapes. Also coloring would be helpful. Were most Romans pale of dark-skinned? Did they have blond hair or red or black? What? The body shapes as well. I'm mostly looking for the higher-society women, but I'd appreciate any information that is given about the men of high society as well.

average roman male was about 5 foot 2. He would have had olive coloured skin and dark hair, also a big nose was attributed to many of the old roman families, but not all romans had big noses and not all were that small, some were up to 6 foot, but rarely

What happens if you use box hair dye on partially bleached hair?

red hair for summer 2013
on Blonde Highlights to Ashlee Simpson Red Hair Color?
red hair for summer 2013 image

ashley

I colored my hair a deep red at home over the winter, now I'm going back to blonde for summer. I went to a salon and the lady did a heavy foil on my hair and I'm back to about 80-90% blonde, with some red streaks on the underside of my hair and some strands on top. What would happen if I went and got a box dye and tried to finish going blonde on my own? Would it turn the bleached parts of my hair funny colors? And should I try a color remover like Color Oops to take more red out first? My ultimate goal is to get *mostly* all one color back.

Answer
Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Hair strippers are chemical treatments which are intended to strip out artificial color pigment with less risk or damage to the hair. The chemicals used are called reducing agents.
Certain 'metal' strippers containing sodium sulphoites are sold for reducing hair dyed with metallic dyes, as these dyes react violently with tint stripper containing hydrogen peroxide-the subsequent reaction may cause so much heat that the hair gets dissolved.

What Color Should I Dye My Hair And What Brand?

Rachel

So I'm dying my hair an unnatural color for the summer and originally was planning to dye it a bright fire truck red. I'm dying it today or Tomorrow and I'm in between the colors red teal or lilac. I have dark brown hair (I am bleaching) dark brown eyes and a medium skin tone. What color do you think would look best for me and what brand do you recommend ? Thanks so much if you answered!! Have a nice summer!

Answer
Dyeing your hair in the summer is the worst thing that could happen to your hair: Chlorine, the sun, all fades the dye faster and the sun causing your hair to get sunburned more.
Red, white & blue, it will go well for the Fourth!

How to completely change my style without seeming like a poser?

red hair quotes tumblr image

Sarah

I guess I'll get this out of the way, for years I've lived in sweats and such, and I've been getting things to change my style into that of a tumblr girl. II really love what I'm becoming because it feels like it's my style. No, I'm not a poser. I'm not doing this to be cool or liked. I'm doing this because I genuinely want to and I love the style. Because I am very socially anxious and awkward I have no clue how to change my style without people notice the transition.

I have everything need (skinny jeans, leggings, sweaters, red lipstick, mascara, thick brown hair and the base of a bedroom, complete with a bed, desk and book case) but I am puzzled as to what to decorate my bedroom with, and as to what else I can incorporate into my wardrobe to complete my desired style. Also, if you have any hair/makeup tips, that would be extremely helpful, but I think I can manage by myself if you don't have any.

Just to help you, this is a link to a room I like:

And here's a link to some clothes I like:

So just to recap: how to start/do the whole change, any style tips and decorating tips would be appreciated.

Thank you so much ^_^

Answer
I don't think people will just immediately assume you're a poser, people change their styles all the time, it's just something you do until you find out what you like.

I changed my style about a year ago, and i just went right into it. It's a little easier if you start your change right after a break or a weekend, because then you've been away from people for a little bit and then you just come back all new. I'd just jump right in, your style is a way to express yourself, and if you think this style is you then show everyone else that :)

Style tips:
--maybe dye the tips of your hair, that seems to be pretty popular among my tumblr friends
--wear beanies :)
--fun shoes also seem to be pretty popular for this look (heels, boots, or patterned flats)
--i think the red lipstick look only works well if you have a fair complexion
--piercings are also pretty popular with this look, but you don't have to go that far

Honestly just have fun with the look, don't get so wrapped up in what the style actually is, just make it your own

Room Ideas:
--take a bunch of sharpies (or paint) and write your favourite quotes or poems or lyrics on the the walls
--christmas lights
--print out allll your favourite photos and make a photo wall
--my friend decorated a whole wall with sticky notes with reminders of her favourite things or memories.

good luck!

these would be for an edgier look, or if you're comfortable wearing a little more makeup (you could also say a "night look").

How to have a summer makeover?

Allie

So this summer, I want to change. My appearance kind of.. Idk I want to shock everyone when I come back next year. I am going to be a sophomore.

What Im planning to do
-grow my hair out, won't use heat, my hair is naturally straight
-get a tan, i am VERY PALE i usually put a bit of self tanner on
-gain muslce, i am skinny but i want to look more toned
-different style, I shop at places like brandy melville, urban, forever21 and h&m
-lighten my hair naturally with lemon juice, my friend did this and it worked for her

i have more I can;t think of right now. but if you did something like this, what did you do & how long did it take.
also any tips for growing out hair, tanning better without being overtan, and what workouts to do to gain muslce, and other ways to lighten hair without dying it. thank you!

Answer
Hi! I know what you mean, after every break i changed my appearance haha. It's just fun to change up our looks and see people's reactions.

Some things you could do:
- Change your makeup/start wearing some
Makeup is a great way to enhance your features and a little goes a long way! A winged eyeliner look is really nice.

- Dye your hair
Probably not good for the growing process, but if you really want to change it up, go for henna. Maybe don't go a red colour if you don't want to look paler, but do it if you are going to tan. If you don't want to change your whole hair colour, you can try the lemon thing on the tips of your hair for a natural ombre look, or on strands.

- Get a fringe or grow it out
Getting a fringe or growing one out can make a huge difference. Have a look at some fringes (if you don't have one) on Google. If you do have one, then maybe get a different style or grow it out. There are some pretty cool fringes out there, I love the rockabilly look with the full fringe that is really short, there's also a full fringe that is slightly vertical, I love that too! Might not be your cup of tea, but just have a look :)

- Get extensions
You don't have to do this if you don't want to, it's expensive and is high maintenance. I wouldn't recommend this unless you REALLY wanted longer hair. The only thing though is that most people will notice, depending on people's opinions, some might think it's fake (bad fake), some might think it's okay. You decide.

Style:
With changing your style, have a look on pinterest and tumblr. There are tons of different styles of outfits on there. For example, if you like the boho look, search up boho, paste your favourite boho outfits onto a document and print them off. Gather some other styles you like a lot, choose a couple of styles you like THE MOST. Do your research at what stores are boho, chic, vintage, etc, go to the stores, try on some outfits that you think are closest to the style. If you think it just doesn't work for you, then that's okay, move on and see what other styles are out there.

Pale:
I am also a pale girl. I just wanted to say that you don't have to make yourself tan because everyone else is. I sometimes do it as well, but only because I want to, not anyone else. Please don't make pale girls extinct because everyone is telling you to! I thought that was the way to go once, everyone always comments on how tan they are compared to me. So i'd tan and make myself bronzer, getting caught in the midst of it, I'd think i'm not tan enough, so i'd spray more and turn out orange the next day (don't do that haha!!). Thinking people would stop nagging at me, I'd go to school the next day and all people say is "Omg it's obvious you have fake tanned!!". Ugh!!!!! You just can't win! It's either be pale and have people nag at you or be fake tan and have people gossip about you. Now I just say "Yeah well I burn, not tan!".

My change:
About last year, over the holidays, I lost a lot of weight (exercise), ate healthy salads and only drank water (I still do!), I also dyed my hair darker (looks awesome with pale skin!), got a full fringe, and dyed the ends pink. I also advanced my clothing skills, before it was jeans and a tshirt, but now i am more like colourful jeans and a blouse with heels or studded flats. I also changed my makeup, I honestly looked like an anime doll! I was obsessed with kawaii and stuff back then, not so much now. I did winged eyeliner, made my eyes and lips look bigger with subtle rosy cheeks.

Last thing:
Sorry it's so long! Wow, haha! Anyway, just wanted to remind you that just because you are changing a lot of stuff on the outside, doesn't mean you should change the inside (unless you're a mean person lol). Don't change your personality or ego over this huge different change. I cannot begin to fathom how nice people dye their hair, get a slutty piercing, tongue piercing, get a boyfriend, etc, change their whole personality! What is so wrong with being nice?? Please just don't change your personality! Everyone is going to be "woah, she's changed so much! I wonder if she's a bitch now," (don't take offence!). When a nice person wears their skirt so high you can see Uranus and Mercury, it just is so sad they have to do that to get attention. LONG STORY SHORT; Don't you dare change your personality, unless it's for the best, and don't become a skank! Surprise all those people that subconsciously wonder if you have become what they hate!

How to get rid of clogged pores and red marks?

Mary Ann

Okay so I'm 14 and I have pretty bad acne for my age. I went on minocycline and it started clearing me up but it made me lose vision for about an hour and one night I was so dizzy I couldn't even stand up so I stopped using it. It worked really good so I was pretty mad. I leave for a 2 week vacation Sunday so I'm kinda stressed because I'm barley packed and stuff. Most of my big zits are gone from the minocycline but they left bad red marks that like peel and my whole face is like bumpy from annoying clogged pores and blackheads. I have a couple under the skin pimples and actual pimples but not that bad. Right now I'm using Oxy maximum strength face wash by itself and sometimes I use the proactiv refining mask. I'm thinking about adding step 2 and 3 from proactive to my skincare since the facewash is just a stronger one of proactivs pretty much because proavtiv wasn't strong enough. Don't tell me to go on accutane because first of all its so bad for you and second of all my mom wont pay for it. Don't tell me to try natural stuff either because I've used all natural products, the ocm, the caveman, the water only regimen, and I've done just the gentle face wash thing. Nothing worked. Proactiv worked for me for a while but it doesn't work now that I tried other stuff that made my skin worse. I can't use olive oil on my skin at all. No mater what kind of olive oil. It breaks me out so bad. I think I need to use a scrub since I have clogged pores but my mom wont buy me one and baking soda makes my skin worse. I can't use olive oil but what if I do like salt and honey or sugar and honey? I don't have lemon juice. What else can I do? How do I get rid rid of the red marks? I'm really pale so they show up a lot. I havn't been in the sun so I think I'm low on vitamin D so maybe when I go on my vaca it will clear up a little and the tan will help hide the red marks?
My mom wont buy any more skincare products for me. I'm going to have my sister take me to target and drop me off to shop for skincare stuff in a few months when she can drive but I need something that works now...
I can't get cocoanut oil... well at least until my sister can drive me to buy it in a few months.

Answer
Melody posted this recently about Coconut Oil.

I recommend You moisturize your skin with organic unrefined extra virgin coconut oil. I know you might be like, is she crazy telling me to put OIL on my face? NO i am not crazy:) All of my Friends use coconut oil for their body, hair, health and skin. And their skin and mine is very healthy. Coconut oil even helped one of my Friends who suffered acne for about 1 year. She started using coconut oil everyday as a moisturizer, and now she has clear skin! She still had to use a cleanser, and eat healthy and stuff. But COCONUT oil helps the body, skin and hair in SO many ways!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtl-1Kn8Gâ¦

I found out coconut oil is a very effective way to treat acne. I use the organic USDA, unrefined, and extra virgin coconut oil. And it smells sooo good!!! It does not clog pores, well it does not to me. It give you a natural glow, cure redness, acne, acne scar, dryness, wrinkle, fine lines, oiliness, and any skin condition like rash! It 10 times as better than other acne treatments! Coconut oil is a very great natural way to cure acne. Use it as your facial moisturizer.

Oh and I TAKE TURMERIC PILLS EVERYDAY. ONCE A DAY AND IT HELPS TO FIGHT FREE RADICIALs THAT AGE OUR SKIN AND BODY. It HELPS TO MAKE MY SKIN GLOW, AND HELPS TO KEEP MY IMMUNE SYSTEM good and ACNE at bay. You will see result in about 1 month or 2. It is a VERY natural way to get rid of acne. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Melody......Phred

Why do europeans have so much more genetic diversity than all of the other continents?

ihaveissue

Europeans can have blond, brown, auburn, chestnut, and red hair. They can have blue, green, hazel, and light brown eyes. However generaly speaking, Asians and Africans all have black hair and very dark brown eyes? Why do europeans have so much diversity and not the other people?

Answer
They inhabited the greatest number of northern territories where colors other than brown or dark were necessary for survival (vitamin D production!)

I have previously dyed red hair and lighter red roots growing out. What would be a good dye for me to use? I'd prefer something permanent rather than wash out.
I dyed my hair black before and it was fine -_-;
Oh and the idea is to NOT bleach my already fried hair

ewww WHY THE F*uCK would you want to dye your hair from red to black? You are going to look hidious! Natural red hair is beautiful and dont give me that line about having red hair and hating it bc i am a naturally red (orange actually) head and it is beautiful wouldnt change it for anything. How long should i leave a hair dye with 20% vol developer on for?

so basically i wanna dye with hair with the majicontrast red hair dye, you have to buy the developer/peroxide yourself, so i decided on 20% since i don't want it to damaged and i only want it lifted a couple shades. I also already have red hair with some roots, so i was wondering how long you'd leave it on the roots for and the ends considering with 20% vol peroxide? Thanks :)

Answer
if your lifting leave it on for at least 40 minutes, maximum of 50

What's the difference between 1940's and 1950's hair and makeup styles?

G

I've watched some makeup tutorials on YouTube, and seen that style elsewhere, and sometimes it's attributed to 40's and other times, 50's. The curly hair, red lip, thick liner with a flick.

Anyone know the difference (if there is one!)?

Answer
Before I answer this, let me just say Old Hollywood is my passion. I watch movies from 1910s-70s every. single. day. So I have seen hundreds of movies, and most from 30s, 40s, and 50s..so I have experience with this subject lol

There's not a difference in makeup from the 40s and 50s. The only change from 30s to 40s to 50s are the hairstyles and clothes.. (such as pin curls were only popular in the 20s and 30s and NOT the 40s.) ..and eyebrows. (Thicker eyebrows started coming back in the 40s, but before that they were tweezed/waxed to a thin arch.)

In the 1950s, a lot more women (particularly teenagers) started to wear their hair down and wavy (never more than shoulder length). Don't get me wrong, a lot still wore victory rolls (Those curly rolls you see on the women's heads), but this was leading into the late 60s, and by then victory rolls were nonexistent (on the younger generation, anyways.)

WHAT KIND OF red hair color LOOKS BEST ON PALE SKIN WITH YELLOW UNDERTONES?

I want to dye my hair red but i don't know which one to choose, like auburn, deep red-violet, orange-ish red (like Donna from That 70's Show) Which red hair color looks best? My skin looks different in different lights. For example if I was on white light my skin looks pale white and on sunlight my skin looks like its medium fair skin w/ yellow undertones.

Try a deep, rich burgundy color. That would look really cute on you. Or, try the hairstyle like Donna, like you said, which is a bit lighter. Just stay away from anything too bright orange or carrot-y.

UPS and Downs to having:

Blond Hair?
Brunette Hair?

Do you think that you're more likely too be accepted if you have a certain hair color? what about certain stereo types that come with having a different hair color?

This is for a project so serious answers are wanted. Thank you!

Sorry guys, its competly my fault by I did forget black hair.

So your opinions on black hair are wanted too!

Answer
Interesting question!
Blonde hair is a tough one because most "blondes" out their are actually brunettes who have bleached themselves blonde. Men gravitate towards blondes because blonde hair is a sign of youth and high female hormone levels. If you are blonde naturally or a bottle blonde you will get a lot of male attention but other women will treat you with some contempt. Im a natural brunette and noticed that when i went blonde men loved it and women hated me for it! Blonde hair is associated with glamour and money aswell. Then there's the dumb blonde jokes, whats so interesting about this is that there was a study done recently to show that mens intelligence seems to lower momentarily after been shown a picture of a blonde, in this study the brunette pictures were not shown to have this effect!

Brunettes are seen as natural, wholesome, trustworthy and reliable. Another study that I looked at showed that women were way more likely to tell a personal secret of theirs to a brunette over any of the other hair colours. Brunettes can be seen as boring and lacking in rarity cause their is so many of us around.

Black hair is seen as powerful, exotic and mysterious.
Cant think of any downside except if you have pale skin and people think you look ill!

Red heads if they have freckles and pale skin are sometimes branded ugly which is unjust. A perfect example of this is nicola roberts from girl band girls aloud. Her colouring makes her stand out so much that people either love her or hate her.

Do you find people with red hair attractive and intriguing looking?

A good friend of mine a real nice guy has red hair and he's had only one girlfriend. But I think he can be attractive to any girl. He's like me in a way only I've had more girlfriends but his relationship lasted longer. Anyone can be attractive but a personality counts most. It's depressing that they say red hair may die out within the next hundreds of years.

Also I find red hair on woman just beautiful. Well on most. But I love ALL hair colors/styles and nice eyes on girls too.

I dyed my hair the same color as Ariana Grande's hair, and I washed it once so far ( I was told to wait 24 hours before washing it). I blow dry it and use Herbal Essences Color Protection shampoo and conditioner. After I washed it, my towel was filled with red hair dye ( the towel I put my hair up in, and in the shower my hair was dripping red). So, are there any tips or anything I should do or get to protect my hair?

Answer
It sounds like you are taking a lot of steps to prevent fading, red dye is just a bit tricky. Try washing your hair with cold water (if you can stand it!). The dye will not be as prone to bleeding and fading. Otherwise, keep using your color protection styling products.

What is the best shampoo for colored red hair?

I dye my hair red and have a serious regimen that I follow to keep it vibrant. I wash my hair with Matrix Shade Memory shampoo for Vivid Reds, followed by a L'Oreal Artist color depositing shampoo in Red Bark then a Matrix color protective conditioner. They have discontinued my Matrix Vivid Reds, and I now need a replacement. I would like something that is specifically for red hair as opposed to just colored hair, but it needs to be clarifying. Thanks!

There are very rare genes for red hair amongst Asians that descended from the Tocharians of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang province rather than the Mongolian Han Chinese. There are Melanesians with copper red hair and blonde hair. It is possible for rare alleles to persist in populations only to emerge as the phenotype on the chance combination with another rare allele.

Kurds are known to have red hair. Pashtuns, another ethnic group found in parts of Iran and Afghanistan, are known for producing redheads.

How many ethnics groups carry the gene for red hair?

I think it started in one main group, but now it has spread to several more ethnic groups. I think that it is a recessive trait and that to have the red headed individual born, both parents would have to contribute the gene for red hair.

Answer
The Celts probably have the greatest frequency of the gene, but it is also present in North Germanic populations to a lesser extent, as well as in the East Slavic populations (Russia was known at one point as the land of the red haired people. Ive also heard that the Thracians (Balkans) had red hair but if you look at Balkan nations today, red hair is very very very rare.

"Several accounts by Greek writers detail redheaded people. A fragment by the Greek poet Xenophanes describes the Thracians as blue-eyed and red haired. The Greek historian Herodotus described the "Budini", probably Udmurts and Permyak Finns located on the Volga in what is modern-day Russia, as being predominantly redheaded. The Greek historian Dio Cassius described Boudica, the famous Celtic Queen of the Iceni, to: "be tall and terrifying in appearance ... a great mass of red hair ... over her shoulders".

The Roman Tacitus commented on the "red hair and large limbs of the inhabitants of Caledonia (Scotland)", which he linked with some red haired Gaulish tribes of Germanic and Belgic relation.

Red hair has also been found in Asia, notably among the Tocharians who occupied the northwesternmost province of what is modern-day China. The 2nd millennium BC caucasian Tarim mummies in China were found with red and blonde hair and most likely were of European origin."
