Game of thrones - Why did they kill the children?

Q. In the first episode of season 2 the guards murder children. Why did they do that?

Answer
It was to keep Joffrey on the throne. All of the children murdered were King Robert's bastards. All of them had black hair. Joffrey didn't want anyone making a comparison and drawing unfortunate conclusions.

In the book, Cersei ordered the execution of all of Robert's bastards, but in the show, it looks as if Joff does it.

ETA: Robert's bastards might have a snowball's chance in the Red Waste to inherit, but in this world, bastards do not get any inheritance. If it was proven that Joff and his siblings were bastards, the throne would go to Stannis, then Stannis's daughter, then Renly. None of Robert's illegitimate children are in the line of succession.

Which is better game of thrones or breaking bad.?

Q. I want to watch a new seires and i was wondering which is better. I just finnished the walking dead(for now). I liked LOTR so game of thrones might be good but i heard breaking bad was very good.

Answer
Breaking Bad definetly!!!t is the best show i have ever seen in my life! the acting is incredible the writing is amazing!!!! Bryan cranston is the boss!!!
5 reasons why breaking bad is the best show on television are
THE ACTING:
Acting is the other reason. Bryan Cranston plays Walter White with extraordinary subtlety. Heâs a shape-shifter, alternating from twitchy, awkward husband to thuggish drug dealer as easily as changing a shirt. Aaron Paulâs Jesse Pinkman is far more complicated than he lets on, and Paul manages to betray those hidden depths without ever allowing Pinkmanâs facade to fall away.

Our two meth-cooking leads are well-supported by a strong cast of major secondary characters. Anna Gunn, gives Walterâs wife, Skyler, plenty of depth and complexity, makinger at once strong and loving and deeply wounded, scarred by her concern and suspicion over Walter. Gunnâs Skyler is a tragic figure in a heartbreaking role.

As Waltâs brother-in-law, Hank, Dean Norris plays a goofy, loud-mouthed A-type personality with hidden depth. His struggle with panic attacks after two violent encounters in his job as a DEA agent create a more vulnerable character, and Norris crafts a far more complex character than Iâd thought possible after the first few episodes.

THE VISUAL STUNING:
No other show on television places so much emphasis on visuals and color as Breaking Bad. As Alyssa Rosenberg notes, the show has âraised the bar for cinematography on television: the way it uses light and color make me look at everything else differently.â

There are no wasted frames in Breaking Bad. Shot in 35-mm film, every scene balances its mood, its tension, on its use of colors. Somehow the show captures and accentuates the rich hues of the American southwest perfectly â and not just the reds and oranges of the landscape. Breaking Bad takes risks with even the most mundane moments: black hair against yellow sheets; the play of light and shadow at the dining room table; the lines in Walter Whiteâs face.

Director of Photography, Michael Slovis, described the show as âreal film-making, more so than even many films that you work on now.â And because itâs a told in a long, narrative arc, the visual elements of the show can be unfolded slowly as well, allowing it to takes risks.

'Breaking Bad' and the War on Drugs

Why not open up season two in black and white with just one hot pink teddy bear floating in a pool? Why not play with wide-angle lenses and other visual techniques? Why not juxtapose action sequences with long, slow shots of the desert? Lots of shows donât take even these small risks, but Breaking Bad pulls no punches.
THE WRITING:
Everything nice that I said about the cinematography applies to the showâs writing as well. Breaking Bad has made me listen to other shows differently in the same sense that Alyssa sees every other show differently. The dialogue is always tight. Nobody acts out of character. You never get a sense that an episode is there just to fix a past continuity error. Thereâs never a moment that seems like the writers had run out of interesting things to say. No filler, no wasted space.

And my goodness, but no show Iâve seen has so mastered the art of the cliff-hanger. Partly this is because not every episode ends at the edge of a cliff. Some just end. Thereâs a finality â sometimes even a sense of tragedy or malaise â to many episodes. At other times, for someone watching on Netflix streaming, itâs pretty much impossible not to stay up too late watching whatever comes next.

The show has vision, and the writers manage to take a long story-arc and not let it get away from them. This has been the downfall of far too many shows, from Lost to The Sopranos. So far at least, Breaking Bad is avoiding the shortcuts in favor of the long haul. Even better, the back story remains shrouded in fog, further enforcing the sense that Walterâs past is not so terribly different than his present: defined so completely by his lies.

Few other shows pull off characters this complex and convincing, and the writing is a big reason why.

If you would like to know more about how amazing breaking bad is check out the website i have at the bottom.
The actor bryan cranston has won an Emmy for every year the season has been on the air and the actors of Game of thrones have only one 1 emmy.

Trust me you will love breaking bad, it is the best show ever created. I have watched some amazing shows including Game of thrones and i recommend you start BB before GOT.
imdb RATED IT 9.4 ! If you would like any other TV shows i recommend you start prison break, dexter and OZ.
But breaking bad first because it is incredible. Honestly Game of thrones is a good show but very boring at times and the writitng and acting is not as good.

A natural redhead that wants to dye her hair !? Need help ! [:?

Autum boo

I am a natural redhead. My hair is a light red. I been to a professional hair stylist and they said if I dye my underneath hair black it would look good. I need some help. Should I dye it black underneath or should I dye it brown ? Some people said I should dye my whole hair blonde. Can anyone help me with some hair dying suggestions or ideas ?

Answer
Don' t listen to the hair stylist please. Black hair looks to harsh on anyone unless you were born with it. I would go for a blond color maybe. But it might be hard getting the red out. red hair is a beautiful color an few woman are natural redheads. How about playing around with the color you have. Using a slightly darker red perhaps. The colors they have out now that wash out in a month or so are excellent to try out colors. I had a friend in high school who had really dark brown hair and she color it black and it was awful.
My hair is a light brown and I color it red...a light red. Seems we should trade places. :).

what color prom dress goes with brown eyes and black hair?

Miranda Ly

...i would like to know...
-i have black hair
-amber/chocolate brown eyes
-with light tan skin
any ideas???? thanks

Answer
By the sounds of your colouring you would look STUNNING in red. I've always envied people with darker features and olive toned skin! If you're wanting something less mainstream (the usual princess-look) opt for a different style like a grecian dress. They are so flattering and you'll look like a greek goddess. I found this stunner on etsy, the womans pose isn't very flattering for the dress but the back on it is gorgeous;; http://www.etsy.com/listing/94132093/vintage-70s-red-grecian-goddess-draped?ref=sr_gallery_23&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_query=grecian+dress+red&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_type=all
You could pair it with a simple gold headband like this one;; http://www.etsy.com/listing/98017338/grecian-goddess-gold-leaf-crown-headband?ref=sr_gallery_14&ga_search_query=grecian+gold+headband&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_min=0&ga_max=0&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all
Just a few ideas to get you thinking :) you would also look good in colours like grape/wine, deep emerald greens, earthy tones etc stay away from pinks, yellow, orange, black and stark white. Ivory would be ok, as it won't wash you out as much as stark white will.
Hope that helps, good luck hunting down that dream dress!

Sims 3 (for mac) color/graphics problem.?

mel87v

When playing the game, which I haven't even gotten past the "make your own sim" part because I'm so frustrated...there are buildings/sims/landscapes that are all blue and red (obviously not what it's supposed to be) and have question marks on them. Even when trying to make my own sim, I can only change the body type, hair doesn't show, colors don't show.

Any ideas?

Answer
There's been a lot of complaints about Sims 3 not running well on Macs. Do you have the minimum specs?

Mac system requirements for The Sims 3 call for an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600, Nvidia 7300 GT or GMA X3100 or better 3D graphics, at least 6.1GB of hard disk space. The game will not run on PowerPC-based Macs or Macs equipped with Intel GMA 950 graphics.

High pries

besides going to a hair salon.
My hair it naturally black.
just a small section so that I could color it red
I tried manic panic but it took to long I had to wash it out before it made my hair brittle

Answer
Squeeze fresh lemon juice in your conditionare and let it sit for like 10 minutes, then wash it out! (do this very first then dry hair for bleach process) Now I have bleached my and others hair from a mix of black and brassy tones on the head starting off!! and I have found success and not so bad hair condition out of this bleach kit!!

http://img.nextag.com/image/XtremeFX-Clairol-herbal-Essences/1/000/006/110/472/611047270.jpg

Yep it take at least 2 of them but it works really good ($10 bucks for 1)

also if you have a Sallys Beauty you can get this

and It makes quicker but a little harmful ($7.99 for 1)

If you are at Sallys please pleaassee Buy this

You squeeze some drops in the bleach bowl with the bleach in it, mixing it in with your stir stick, and it helps you not have Red Brassy or Gold tones when you dye it!! ($.50 for a tube)

when done bleaching and ready to wash out use a purple based shampoo/conditioner in 1 like

This can be left on the red or brassy areas for a couple of minutes to bring that bleach out more...

Last use

This will deep condition your hair! Leave it on for 30 mins - 1 hour with a shower cap and, or hot towell!! Then rinse out. ($ 3.00)

Does anyone have a photoshop tutorial on how to turn black hair blonde?

I've found ones on turning blonde hair other colors, which is rather easy, but I can't find a good one on how to turn black hair blond. When I screw around on photoshop I can't seem to get it right, so I'm going to need some assistance

Answer
turn dark hair light, ps,
if black hair has enough detail and highlites , you should be able to figure something out to work with, if there is not enough highlites, like the area is all completely black with now detail, you may have to create new layer with overlay and soft light on new color,

dark to blonde,
selection, channels/ variations/ levels/ curves per rgb,

Highlights, red hair ?????

Hulahoop -

Ive had dyed red hair for years but i now want a change, will it work if i go to the hair dresser and ask for my hair to be dyed brown and then highlights put in

Thanks

Answer
well i know for some cases hair dyed with red is hard to change in colour, coz my sis tried and it took her 3 times to dye her hair before she got anywhere close to brown and it also depends on the colour of your red hair. is it orangy?? or like red wine kind of red... welll it also depends on the type of hair you have. try hair colour remover and dying your hair again in the right colour. but the people in the hair dressers should know wat to do. it is their profession you know :))

What color highlights do you add to red hair?

**Hunter's

I have a light red/blond color hair that is natural and short angled bob. I wanted to add some dimension to it by adding highlights but Im afraid that blond may look funny in red hair. What is your opinion?

Answer
I think you should put some dark red highlights in your hair, since its naturally light red.

anyone know of a good red hair rinse?

Angelica

my hair was naturally dirty blonde. dyed it brown. color oopsed it so its now a darkish red which i like but it is going to fade to normal color or go a lil brownish again. ne one know of a good red color tht washes out in like a week or a red color rinse?

Answer
If you don't want to dye it, I've been using John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze and really like it. When you're done shampooing and conditioning, you put it on, leave it for about 3 minutes, and rinse it out. Over time (like.. about 3 uses) it will bring some color and luster back into your hair. It also makes hair super shiny without weighing it down like other products. I use brown but I know it also comes in red.

It's much healthier for your hair than dyeing it, also.

What would happen if I put box burgundy/red hair dye over black hair?

footballch

About a year ago I dyed my hair black now its like a ash black color.
I DON'T want a vivid color just a tint on my ends
and im not going to do my roots
I will be using box dye

Answer
It will tint it red and most likely will not be obvious in most lights. Outside it looks kind of like a red halo around you, at least it did for me. I dyed red over pitch black and most of the time no one even knew.

Can boys dye their hair RED?

Chris

http://icescreamandshout.tumblr.com/me

Thats my hair right now. And can boys dye their hair RED RED RED.. like Gerard way?

Answer
Yeah. You're hair is pretty dark brown though so if you just dye a box or red dye over that it either leave you with a weird brown-red tint. You're going to want to bleach your hair and then dye it. That way it'll give you the vibrant red that you're looking for. I used to have red hair.. My natural hair was blonde so when I dyed it bright red it looked more pink. All i had to do was add a medium brown to it and got my color which was a darker red with purple tint.
Warning: bleaching your hair will damage it and red is really hard to keep in your hair! I had to dye my hair with the red and medium brown every other weekend because of how fast is faded. If your hair grows fast, you'll be bleaching your roots a lot. If you go through with it, take cold showers. It'll definitely keep the color in longer.

Attempting Ombre Hair- What To Use?

Lady Ra

Ok, i have naturally darkish brown hair (very curly when natural) it's had a fair amount of damage done to it but it's really not bad at all. It's down to my breast, and I'm really considering doing ombre hair. I want the ombre to stop about 2 inches above my tips (fading from my natural brown to blonde of course) and i need to know what to use. I'll need bleach, no? I have 20 and 30 creme developer and don't know what's the difference between them. I also have the actual dye which on the package says it's 7N dark blonde. And finally a pale ash blonde toner to go on afterwards. Does this all sound correct? And do I use a 20 or 30 developer for my desired look?

Answer
Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that look ombre hair color â darker roots, lighter ends â but colorists sees that fading. Women are wanting dimensional color with natural highlights that look like they've been playing out in the sun.

"Ombre is the number one poorly done color in this country! It takes a lot of blending and finesse to look natural. The key is to highlight the whole head, then deepen just the roots. Unfortunately, a lot of the ombre I see today is bad - I'm ready for that to be retired! Dye should make hair look expensive and chic. Otherwise, what's the point?" ~ Harry Josh, Hollywood's top hairstylist, who have given Gisele ombre color for 13 years.

From Ya member who was so depressed: "sallies beauty salon isnt really a salon is more of a hair suppply store and the beautitionist who looked and tested my hair said it would work just fine and now im left with bald spots and im only 15 will a little less than half my hair missing and white roots and bright orange red and spotted black hair that is melted up to around 2 inches from my scalp idk what to do"

Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,â she explains.

The British woman who went into coma after a reaction to hair dye has died after a year. Updated 11-25-12. The woman suffered a heart failure, struggled for breath and became unconsciousness. Below are samples of celebs with dip-dyed hair:

Chloe Kardashian, Drew Barrymore & Guiliana Rancic (btw, she just had double mastectomy), Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Bilson,Jennifer Lopez (when she's not wearing hair extensions) have had their hair done like that (letting their highlights fade) for years! I want a bright red hair color?

Rachel

About 6 weeks ago I had my hair dyed dark brown with red tints. I had the bottom half of my hair (aka an undercolor) dyed medium red. As you can imagine if you've dealt with red dye, the red is very dull and almost orange. The darker brown with red tint has faded quite a bit. My roots have grown in a little over 1/4 of an inch.
I want to dye my hair a bright red all over. I have chosen the products I want to use on my hair. I will be mixing a 30 volume developer in with a red creme. I was thinking of just using a red manic panic on the bottom half of my hair, while using the other products on the top half.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know getting it done professionally would be the best option, but I'd rather do this myself as it will have an up-keep I would rather maintain myself. Thank you.

Answer
One of my fave YouTubers, Sarah, aka 'All Dolled Up', was a bright, vivid redhead for 4 years. Highly recommend her video tutorials (many re: maintaining the perfect bright red colour). Her #1 preference for hair colour is Special Effects-- all vegetable, densely pigmented dye(s) that last the longest and is the brightest red colour. The key to awesome bright red hair is to never just use one colour. Use a combo of two or three and add lowlights and highlights to spruce it up.

A combination of Special Effects 2 parts Nuclear Red and 1 part Cherry Bomb is the perfect, bright red combination. Your Manic Panic selection(s) will be awesome, too. The secret to really deep, non-fading, bright & pure red colour is to sleep with the dye on the hair and rinse the following a.m. Apply the dye, wrap with cling wrap and leave it on all night. Don't condition the hair first.. only shampoo. Adding about 1/8 ounce of hair colour to shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner will help to maintain colour.

Revlon Nutricolour styling and protective cream to maintain red hair is the BEST:
http://www.gorgeousshop.co.uk/shop/images/medium/revlon_nutri_creme_fire_red_600_MED.jpg

Manic Panic Vampire Red, Vampire's Kiss, Pillbox Red and Infra-Red are all great colours (very deep and rich..like Red Velvet cake)
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SjanwxZ5RqM/TrXTvUMpMKI/AAAAAAAACZM/qfeuNlFLvpU/s640/DSC_1319.JPG

Your plan bright red hair colour plan sounds good. It also sounds as if you already have everything under control. Sleeping in the dye with cling-wrap, and including a little of the hair colour in your shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner will help maintain your colour.

1. Do I need to bleach it for it to get that dark colour?
2. What dye should i use/go to hairdressers?
3. Will that colour be okay for a 13yo and for school??

Answer
hi, i died my hair red and i regret it so much, it is the hardest colour to get out of your hair. I have put so many coats of brown on my hair to get it back to brown and its just gone a blacky browny red:( the only way to get it out is to strip it which totally destroys your hair! makes it feel like straw so i don't want to do that:L so i would advise not to but if you have your heart set then:
no bleach needed
HAIRDRESSERS
and yh i am 15 and its fine:)

How long should i color my hair again?

Georgia Ro

i have black hair i colored my hair today using true red loreal excellence mousse (permanent) and it didnt turn out the way i want it to. i thought my hair would be bright red but it's dark and u can only see the color under the sun or light.
how long should i wait till i can color my hair bright red?

Answer
Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer.

Her family blamed paraphenylenediamine, a chemical found in hair colour. Her family has now called for paraphenylenediamine to be banned from home dye kits. I have a RED hair dye problem!!!?

tigurr21

I dyed my hair like 2 weeks ago with loreal excellence hicolor hilites in RED. each shower i take, i t fades more and more, the thing i dont get, is its turning brown from the bottom up , its mostly brown on the bottom, is it gonna be brown all over my hair?? also my natural haircolor is black. :(

Answer
Red hair colour is the most difficult colour. If you hate it, it sticks. If you love it, it fades. It will eventually fade to that brown and you'll have to go over it again. To keep it vibrant you need to do several things. Use a colour care shampoo and conditioner. No volumizing products, either. These open the cuticle layer on your hair and cause colour to slip out. Also, try not to wash your hair every single day. If you must, you must, but the colour will last longer if you don't. Using a cooler water will keep it longer as well. And when you style your hair make sure to use heat protectants and wear a hat in the sun to prevent further fading.

Hair color?

Any professional hairdressers out there? My hair is curly and has turned orange. Any suggestions about new color (ie. dye). Also, have to hide the grays.
I did have my hair dyed professionally 3 mos ago. It was mocha color. I orginally have redish brown hair. Then from the sun it is turning orangy.

Answer
What did you do to your hair? What is your natural color? What color were you trying to achieve?
If you have dark hair (colored or not) and you are trying to lighten it, it will turn orange. It is the natural process that hair changes color. It goes from black to brown to red to orange to yellow to pale yellow to light blonde. If it's orange from bleaching it to get it lighter, you need to add more bleach. This is called a double process.
If you used a box color, chances are, you picked the wrong color! Try getting another one that has a neutral or ashy base to it. Stay away from warm colors (golden brown, red brown, etc..) That should cancel out the orange tone. You could also buy a violet or blue shampoo. Use it 2-3 times a week, and follow the directions on the bottle.

Hair Color Gone Wrong?

Valencia

So yesterday I went to the beautician to get my hair colored. I specifically sent her multiple pictures of the color i wanted. So she comes back with a jazzy red. It was really pretty on the box but in order for my hair to take any color, she had to lighten it with a lifter. Fast forward she but the jazzy red in, washed it out, put another red in , washed it out, and i ended up with this rihanna red color. It was cute yesterday, now i hate it and its hideous. I have blonde and pinkish roots from the lifter, it's too red for my skin tone, and i just all around hate it. Thank God my hair isn't damaged or falling out. I really wanna go back to black but i know i can't dye it again anytime soon, and trust me it is freaking ugly. Its making me look really unattractive and trashy. What can i do? And I'm not going back to her

Answer
It's possible that the color she put in was just a semi-permanent color and the stylist didn't realize it. Another scenario could be after bleaching, or lifting, it made you're hair too porous and after a wash or two the color just fell out. If you color your hair often this happens quite commonly. Just go in and schedule a PPT regiment over the next month or two. Simple, cheap, repairs the hair like new! As for the color, next time you go in, no box colors btw because they ruin the hair faster than anything, let them know the situation and ask them about using a filler to refresh the color and bring it back to the original brightness, the way you like it. I would also recommend, not knowing your hygiene or beauty routine, to wash your hair once every few days. Still shower every day! And if you can't deal with greasy hair there are tricks for that. Also, whether the grease grosses you out or not, wash with cold cold water! Hot water opens up the cuticle of the hair to let in vitamines and moisture, but also lets out color that doesn't take. Leading to fading. Voila!

Your funny Box Hair color Story go wrong!?

YoungFolks

I did a box color, just a 28 wash out one, it was a dark brown with a tint of red it in it and it looked so pretty and natural I had to buy it.
So my mom did my hair and we washed it out and did all that stuff, and I looked in the mirror. it's like a dark blackish purple and on the roots a deep blood red.
Since I have dark eyes and a bit paler skin it looks fine, but....... not what I wanted....lol

Hahaha, I laughed so hard, and it looks fine and I really want to see it in a week after I wash it a few times, but I want to know YOUR funny Box Color Hair stories..:) Thanks!

Answer
i was expecting a deep red, almost burgundy, but it went purple instead since the dye was meant for darker hair. it looked awesome though because i had blue hair underneath and i loved my purple and blue combo

I know a lot of girls have asked this question but everyone is diffrent so i cant take one girls answer when she doesnt look like me. I have blue green eyes and my hair is naturally dirty blonde. i have died my hair since i was 14. right now my hair is dark dark brown with red streaks (although thats not the color in the picture) but i want the color of Ariana Grande

my mom says that she tried going red but it made her blemishes stick out and looked washed out and horrible on her and i want to know if it would look good with mine this is the most recent picture of me (like i said its not my natural hair color but yeah)

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=712358820&aid=220580#!/photo.php?fbid=10150113068748821&set=a.429364238820.220580.712358820&theater

and in this picture its an old one so my hair is alot longer now but its the closest ihave to my natural hair color

please let me know if i would look good with that hair color and if not if i would look with any kind of red hair color? please and thank you sooooo much!!
i personally think the rule of thumb never go more than 3-4 shades is wrong for some people. when i was little i was a toe head. i had platinum blonde hair like seriously and as i grew up my hair got darker but it was still blonde like i said my hair is naturally dirty blonde. yet i have dyed my hair the darkest shade you can get without going black (like the next shade up was black) and everyone that has known me has told me they like me better with darker hair than they did with blonde hair. and i know for a fact that my hair color now is prob like 8-9 shades darker than my natural and i look better than i did when i was younger so i know for a fact that the 3-4 shade thing is void for my case.

Answer
Red hair is cute. If you want a more temporary look just to make sure there are a few things you can try out. Manic panic hair dye is temporary and washes out in about a month. Lots of colors and you won't have to worry about re-dying the roots. Plus if you don't like it it will wash out soon. You can also mix colors to get a variety of colors so that would be fun to try out. There is also CosplayDNA if you don't want to do any thing to your hair. Its a wig that looks natural and you can do what ever just like real hair. You can use any kind of chemical treatment on it and it can be any length you want. Also using flat irons and curlers are ok for this kind of wig since its heat resistant too. If you have one of those you can change your hair as much as you want and take it off if you don't like it. Any ways I've blabbed long enough....links :D

(Manic Panic)

Can be bought at Sally's Hair and Beauty Supply Store or online places like Amazon, Google, ect.
(You can get it for about $8 as a good price some charge more like around $15 just cause they want to rip ppl off so I wouldn't buy from them)

Should I color my hair red?

Q. I'm thinking about coloring my hair like a Haliey Williams cherry red because I want to color my hair a fun color, but I don't know if I should because I have soft black colored hair and I have an olive skin tone and I have freckles splashed across my nose but people can't really see them in the winter.
I have dark chocolate brown colored eyes.
I meant hayley Williams.

Answer
Red is a really hard color to pull off but if you really want to do it get it done professionally please. There are two types of red hot red(orange-red) and cool red(blue/purple red) and hot red looks like clown hair on people with olive skin tones. All of the colors Hayley has in her hair are hot red colors and would clash terribly with your skin tone, she has pink toned skin so it looks fine on her. Like I said red is a really hard color to get right, so please have a professional do it for you.

Also because you have black hair they'll have to lift quite a bit of color to get your hair close to what she has, they'll probably have to do it over a period of a few days, just keep that in mind. Walk into the salon you choose before you get it done with a picture of Hayley how you like is as ask what the actual colorist thinks would be do able for your hair, the prices, time it would take, how much maintenance and up keep it will take, etc.

Hope this helps.

I want RED HAIR -- what dye to use?

moof

i need to dye my hair red.. the sort of red of a dr pepper can.
anyone know a brand or color name that is that color?
(my hair is already bleached.)
gosh you're clever, sheila.

anyhoo, i actually am looking to dye my hair for a specific reason, because i can't get ahold of a wig the color instead.

i am asking because it is not an unusual color, the sort of red of a dr pepper can/label, and i would be surprised if there was NO ONE who had any suggestions as to the specific brand of dye and the name of the color.

Answer
Your major things to watch out for is "sulfates" in your shampoos they go under names like sodium laurel sulfate or "sulfa" its an ingredient used in shampoos and other products to make it foam and bubble, shampoo lacking foam doesn't mean its not cleaning! Sulfates even hide in most "color safe" labeled shampoos!

Also a henna kit may be the way to go but there not the easiest to prepare, for starters the dye after you have mixed it with hot water should sit 3 hours in a warm place preferably covered with plastic wrap and kept in sunlight if possible you will probably want the RED kit not BRIGHT RED for most brands (I used light mountain in the past), I bought the bright red kit online thinking it would look the way I wanted it but the box indicated I actually wanted the RED kit. Also henna for best results you may want to leave in your hair 1-3 hours with a plastic shower cap on top.

If you want normal (chemical) dye semi permanent color might be a good idea, and may not need bleaching if you have light enough brown hair (you will probably get a deep dark cherry color try a strand test) or I really like HERBAL ESSENCES box hair color (no bleaching) but I can only find that brand at Walmart for some reason. That brand has some really amazing colors for those who like something different like the reds, I think number 44 is a real bright red look arround the shades and choose one you like. My favorite color I keep going back to is Bronzed Rubies its like this reddish, burgundy, brown, kind of plum color really different and fun and it looks different from person to person, and depends on what your shade is when you start.

New hair trends for summer 2013?

Ooberdoobe

I currently have dark brown hair with ombre towards the ends. I have had it for almost a year and now eevveerryyoonne wants it or is just now getting it. So I want to change it up a bit. I want something I can do that wont fade too fast and isn't an "un-natural" color. ( No blues, purples, pinks, yellows, ect.) I have had red highlights before (subtle red) I have asian hair so my hair doesn't get damaged too much. I do for one like the pastel colors some people have, although i heard it was hard to achieve. So does anyone out there know a good dyed hair style I should go for?

Answer
hmm...you could do a reverse ombré with a darker color at the ends or a lighter color up top, which is really popular right now. but it sounds like youre sorta sick of ombré. maybe you can get streaks of a lighter brown chestnut in your hair or highlights. these are all trends that I've seen but not seen everywhere.

.

I hope i helped(:

2013 Winter Trends for Teen girl ?

Maria

I was wondering what is the winter trends now for teenage girls .? I'm going on a shopping spree soon and I just want to know what type of clothes .. & what type of hairstyle is in too .!
I just want to know cause I want to look different to school .
Btw ; I'm really skinny & I have long thin hair . & a big forehead . :/
Please no silly answer ..
Thanks in advance .!

Answer
If you're looking for trends, i'd suggest buying Teen Vogue or something, but if you're more of a 'make your own style' person, i'd siggest anything from gorgeous coats in bold colours, to long sleeve blouses and cardigans that dont look totally and completely gay :') ahahah as you're skinny i'd suggest skinny jeans, maybe in colours like red or purple, teamed with a black jacket? If you're good at withstanding the cold, i'd suggest cut off shorts with a nice jacket.

As for hairstyles, you should braid your hair, leaving some parts of the front of your hair out, or you could do a low/ high messy bun, again with bits of hair hanging out.
If you prefer to wear your hair out, i'd suggest trying to curl it (if your hair is too thin for a curling iron, then put it into plaits over night) or you could wear it normally and pin and twist a top section of your hair.

how to make non permanent red hair dye?

Q.

Answer
Hair dye is made of chemicals.

Henna, for example, is a natural hair color that is incredibly drying to the hair shaft, Begoun says. And cosmetics scientists at TheBeautyBrains.com say that henna will only temporarily tint your hair. Although most so-called natural hair-color products use fewer chemicals than most drugstore hair colors, experts say that any change to natural hair color causes hair damage. Experts suggest using the gentlest formula that will yield your desired color and using it as infrequently as possible.
Herbatint & Naturetint are two permanent hair colors that use a smaller amount of hair dye chemicals in conjunction with natural ingredients. Both have fairly decent ratings at MakeupAlley.com (though each gets only a handful of reviews).

Here's a new article I found re: henna, which is supposed to be better for you than reg. box dye. It's a good read!
Google: Henna for Hair Warnings.

Unless you're using Kool-Aid for Red head or Brunette:
Mix the Kool-Aid powder with a small amount of warm water, 4-6 ounces of cranberry juice and 5 pumps shampoo. Apply the mixture to newly shampooed hair, and let it sit for 5 minutes, rinse, and condition then blow dry, says Garren a master hairstylist.

non permanent red hair?

i have naturally dark brown hair and got golden highlights about a month ago, now i was to see what i look like with red hair, i want to use a wash out red dye, would it go over my hair color?, and how much would the red show up with out changing the color underneath? ( such as no bleaching)

Answer
you would NOT bleach your hair to get it red. If you want to see what you'd look like in red hair, go to a wig shop and try on something. there really isnot any temporary red hair coloring, but if you got a 10 volume creme developer, you could pick a light auburn hair color and put it in, but its not gona wash right out, and if you put a 20 volume developer with your light auburn hair color it will be permanent. and red, is the hardest thing to get rid of. To get rid of it tho' you'd have to use something with ash in the color base.
my suggestion is dont do any more dyeing if you dont want to live with red. If you do, then take my advise.

do all women with light skin and hair, blonde, and red hair have light colored nipples?

wine o

most women I date that have red or blonde hair and light skin have pale or reddish colored nipples. not like brunettes that usually have darker nipples.

is that coincidence, or natural?

Answer
Its a skin thing. But if a girl that has brown hair . . . the chances are that her skin is darker than a person that has blond hair because blonds usually have pailer skin. Its kind of a coincidense. But kind of natural at the same time. Do you know what I mean? Because hair does reflect on the skin most of the time. So I guess brunettes usually have darker nipples and blonds or red heads have lighter colored nipples.

Dark red hair on tan skin?

Q. Hi! I've had bright red hair and it did not look good, so I was wondering if dark red hair was better. I'm Mexican, so I have tan skin, but it's not as tan as the others in my family.

Answer
I know so many girls in your situation who have tried this, and trust me, it looks far from pretty, natural, or cute. Try for a lighter shade of brown or even blonde. Please do not ruin your hair! No matter what color red it it is will not look nice, just trust me. I have a lot of Mexican girls at my school, and they all do this, and they all tell me that they regret it, and they dye it back to the beautiful black it originally was.

Questions about hair chalking?? *10 POINTS BEST ANSWER!*?

Q. I want to try chalking my hair (I know how to do it) but I have a couple questions. I do sports and it's starting to get warm so I'm sweating a lot. Will the chalk start washing out/dripping onto and staining my clothes? If my hair rubs against something, will it get chalk coloring on it? (Like on a pillow if I take a nap or my friend's shirt when I'm giving her a hug) Also, what are the best colors for brown hair? Mine is mostly brunette, but I have a lot of gold and red highlights visible in the light. My hair is the color in this picture:

http://wm43.inbox.com/thumbs/64_20d391_1ca34a38_oJ.jpg.thumb

Pink? Purple? Yellow?? (To look like I have highlights?) I heard that chalking the strand of hair white first makes the color more vibrant. Is this true for brunettes?

Thank you to those who can help! :) I WILL be giving best answer to whomever can help me best :)

Answer
Hair chalk only lasts until you shampoo it. I think if you're sweating enough that your hair is wet then yes, it'll drip out. But if your hair is in a ponytail and just your scalp/ face is sweating then you'll be fine. As long as you set the chalk it shouldn't come out on your friends shirt when you hug her, but it may come out on your pillow if you have a nap. Kevin Murphy's hair chalk is very vibrant on brunettes (especially if you layer the colour) so if you're using that, you won't need to apply white chalk first.

I found this girls review of her experience with Kevin Murphy's hair chalk and it's really informative:

http://www.hairromance.com/2011/10/kevin-murphy-color-bug-review.html

Does chalking work..?

Charlie

I have medium brown hair and I would like to experiment with different colours. I know that chalking is an easy way to temporarily colour your hair but am I able to use in on all of my hair to see what different colours look like on me before I dye my hair? Would this work? If so, are you able to chalk your hair black, and would red show up on brown hair? Thank you :)

You are basically coating your hair in chalk, after being excited to chalk for a bit, I came to the realization that it's not what it seems to be, it ruins your hair and you have to do it for a long time to have a streak of hair completely in that colour.

Even though it's not very good for your hair, I'd dye my hair several times to see the colours rather than trying to chalk it all.
