Can you make your character have purple hair on sims 3?

Yes, any colour you want. There is a circle that ranges from white, to black, and all the colours that we can see (red through to violet). You can also do the same for furniture so you can have millions of colours. You can also change the material that clothes are made of. But i don't think that there are a huge range of hairstyles so fay, maybe in the expansion packs.

I have sims 3 and my family just had a baby girl, so I aged her up into toddler, and she has black hair! Her parents are both blonde (so they don't have any grandparents because i only made them in CAS) but their other little boy has blonde hair aswell, so they were all blondies and then the just happens to have black hair. Why is this?
(i'm just curious, so please don't call me a gamer or whatever I only play on it like once a week!)

Sometimes, the hair color is randomized. This is why the option to change it is there. Most times, though, if your sims aren't CAS made, they can inherit it. For example, a child is born. Their grandparents have red hair and brown hair. Their mother has red hair, and their father has black hair. The child can have brown hair.

If you don't want the black hair, you can always change it. ;D Good luck with your family!
