How do I get bright red hair from dark brown hair?

My hair is dark brown, very long and straight, it's not very thin like blonde hair, but it's also not very thick, it's just medium I guess :P

I don't have enough money to do it at the hairdressers, even the cheapest hairdressers still want a lot of money for bleaching and dying, so I have to do it myself.

So, how do I turn my dark brown hair bright right? :)

My current hair is close to this colour:

You don't have to bleach your hair :D
You can buy
"Loreal HiColor Highlights in Magenta or Red."
I suggest red for the color you desire (:
It's for dark hair only and all you need is a bowl and some volume developer.
You mix the developer with the dye and there you go! C:

So, I'm thinking about getting my hair done soon. But, I don't know what I want. Try to suggest some that would look good with my face shape and that stuff. Pictures would be good too, but if you can't find any it's ok. Also, I was thinking about doing my hair a red color. Which shade though? I have these that I like:

the first shade of red is my favourite and the colour which i've been wanting for a while. the only problem with it is, im not sure whether it would suit you too well.
you have lovely straight hair (if its naturally like that). it would look better if you got some layers in there,keeping the length, and a side fringe. you could also tease it to give it some volume, as it looks quit flat in the second photo.
